I called Disney Dining a few nights ago and got an 8:20 p.m. PS for dinner at Chef Mickeys ::MickeyMo , and was told that was the last PS for dinner time. Has anyone been this late at night? Is the food still good? Do characters spend alot of time with you since there is not such a huge crowd? If you have any info, please tell! :teeth:

I am going to call a few times a week to check for cancelations to possibly get an earlier PS so we can take our lolly time to get to Poly for Wishes.

Thanks in advance for help!!!! :worship:

We did this our last april for our easter vacation. It was the only time I could get all week. I dont know what your kids ages are, but ours our teens and we basically go for the food. The food was o.k., and believe me , it was still packed that time of night. The characters spent enough time with the kids, minnie did seem to be hard to get a hold of. The worst comment I had would be our server Tom. He was generally grumpy, I dont know if he was having a bad day, or he was tired after a long day. It took a while for him to come to our table for drink refills. He seemed to want to get us over with if you know what I mean.

We couldn't get a PS last Jan, but were told if we just showed up and asked we might get it. Sure enough we headed over just when fireworks were starting at MK, one of us went to check on getting in the other took kids out to see fireworks from balcony. We got in, had plenty of time with everyone, there was plenty of food. We closed the place down and had a great time.

We had late PS at CM and a couple of other restaurants at Disney and each time it was fine. Many times the places were still very busy. They had plenty of food out and we didnt have any problems.

I, too, had the same worries about Chef Mickey's during our recent meal there on XMAS eve. We had a 9:20 pm PS. After not being seated until nearly 10 pm, I was worried we wouldn't see much of the characters. After speaking with the hostess, she assured me the characters are there each night until 10 pm.........but since it was so crowded (and a holiday to boot), they would be out on the restaurant floor longer. They were definately out past 10:30 pm. I think your 8:20 PS will be fine.
