Chef Mickey's - last breakfast time - still OK ?

We would like to do an early MK morning and then head over to CR for a Chef Mickey's breakfast. We were able to get the last seating 11:20 AM.

Will there still be food at the buffet ? Characters ?

I have read from other posters on the boards that the last hour of breakfast is the best time to go - since the crowds are lower, you get lots of character interaction!

We had the last seating at 1900 Park Fare and found the buffet to still be fullly stocked and they made sure that each character still spent time with us and before the characters left, we were asked if we wanted any specific character to come back to us. Also, we did not feel rushed at all to leave the restaurant. We were actually told to stay and relax. It was nice. I hope Chef Mickey's will treat you the same way!

We try to do a CM breakfast every trip...usually the last meal of the trip, before hitting the road and going home. We always get a late seating...usually 10:45. The first time we did that we were just as concerned as you are. But they really know what they are doing there (and at all the WDW buffets.) The food is constantly refreshed and the characters are available. I think your plan is very smart!

We had the last breakfast seating at CM last year- it was terrific!! The characters stayed out and visited our table several times, and then when we were leaving we had a picture taken with all of them as a group. The buffet was still fully stocked, and the food was hot. I love having late breakfasts, because then we are good to go until dinner. You will have a great time!

We had out ADR for 11:15 and we had lots of food and the place was still full with people. The characters were great and when we left more people were still coming in.



Next trip to WDW: Feb. or March 2007 at POR

We have generally had positive experiences with late seatings at Character Breakfasts and have enjoyed extra attention from the characters as well as a less hectic atmosphere. However, our experience at Chef Mickey's a few years ago was not one of them. The food was plentiful and we saw each of the characters, but we were off in an enclosed area. A lot of the other diners in that area finished their meals and left just as we were getting started. We did see all the characters, so I really can't complain. But had we been seated on the main floor along with the other late eaters, the experience would have been much better as that is where the characters focused their attention. And, yes, we witnessed them visiting other tables multiple times. It was hard for our then preschoolers to understand why Mickey, MInnie, etc. didn't come and visit them as many times....

One of the more recent character breakfasts we enjoyed with a late seating is the one they have at Ohanas. The children were invited to get up and parade behind their favorite character, Mickey.

We had the last seating time for CRT breakfast on our first visit and it was absolutley the best! Our server said that now there is no rush, take your time and this is the last seating, so please enjoy! No rush of princesses and no stress to eat quick LOL. Very relaxed atmosphere for being a very highly visited attraction every day.

This trip we're not going back to CRT, I think I'm already regretting not getting adr's for it but we want to try other places too.
