Can anyone tell me if there is any limit on the size of a group booking? I've no idea how big Chef Mickey's is, but we would want to book for around 30 people.

It's very large. You might have to call them directely. Or Grand Gatherings.
I have booked it before for about 26. I had everybody book there own ress at the same time. We all sat in the same room. But that was a long time ago.

It is very big and open. I bet they can handle a ressie of 30. You should call and make sure. I know when we went last time for dinner there was quite a bit of large parties going on for dinner. Just let them know when you make the ressie. I just hope it won't be hard to get a ressie when you want it, because of the number of people. So call early at the 180 mark first thing. Good Luck.

Thanks :) At the moment I am in the (very!) early planning stages for 2010 and just want to be sure ahead of time if it is going to be possible.

Do they have different size table layouts? Obviously I wouldn't expect a long table seating thirty, but would like our party to be together in the same area.

I booked 23 at Chef Mickey's for dinner. Because most of my resssie were for this number I was directed to group dining. I found the earlier the seating the better. particularly for Princess Breakfast at Norway.
It is never to early to plan!

I am pretty sure, 95% sure, that they are expanding it. I think CM is going into the area where the old concourse steakhouse was, if so, then it is going to be very large! And if you are not going until 2010, then it should be done by then :)

maybe someone can clarify this to make sure that they are expanding

I have eaten at Chef Mickey's with a group of about 30. There is an area to the very far right and on the second level (it's only up a few steps) that holds about 35-40 people. There are two large round tables and several 4-person tables. It was almost like having a private dining room.

Thanks for the information:thumbsup2 I know i'm well over a year away from our trip but I do like to have a rough idea in advance :)

Yes, we have been there and seen very large parties sitting together or very close. I would say it is one of the best restaurants in WDW for a large group. Breakfast is particularly fun there and I recommend you book an ADR for as early as poss, they open at 7 I think.
