I have an 11am breakfast reservation for Chef Mickey's for Breakfast. They state that stop taking reservations at 11:30am. My question is.... What time to they start taking the food away from the breakfast bar? Do you think we are going to be rushed to eat?

Has anyone had a late breakfast reservation time at Chef Mickey's? If so, how late does the food stay on the buffet and how long are the characters out? I guess this question would apply to any one that had a late reservation for any of the character breakfasts. Do the characters stay out in the dining room late??

Thanks for your help.

Hi
We had an 11:15 reservation and we weren't rushed at all. The food was still really fresh. Since they don't serve lunch, they didn't remove the food while we were there. Also, since the restaurant isn't as crowded at that time, my DGD got a lot of attention from the characters. This was 2 years ago, so I really don't know how it is recently. Maybe someone could give you a more up to date report.

Hello,
We had a reservation there last year (December 2006) at 10:40 and it was almost 11 by the time we were seated because it was still so packed with a lot of people waiting. The food was kept fresh, characters came out several times, and we did not feel rushed at all. We also went to Crystal Palace in December 2004 and I think the reservation was around the same time (possibly later). There weren't many people there and we had the same great experience. And since it was not very busy at the end, we actually had a lot more time with the characters. If Chef Mickey's stops taking resies at 11:30 it seems like you should be A-OK. Character breakfasts are my favorite! :thumbsup2

We make ADRs for the latest breakfast serving at least once for every trip. We sleep in, call it brunch, and get by on two meals on those days.

We have done this at (probably) every buffet at WDW. There was always plenty of food. Sometimes the server even noticed something was low, asked if we wanted more, and had them bring it out. We have never been rushed, and actually I think get the best service because the restaurant is emptying out. Extra time with characters and nice conversations with CM servers.

We had and 11:10am reservation for breakfast. The place was still relatively full and the food and characters were excellent. Expect to love the food and atmosphere!

We were able to sleep in from a long day and late night (We did an AM EMH and Pirate and Princess party the day before) heading over to the Contemporary for our ADR.

We had an 11 AM reservation, and had no problems. I'd worried about food availability and freshness, but needn't have worried. There was plenty of food, constantly replenished. (And, no, we weren't rushed. We were there long enough for the characters to come around twice!)

Once at Crystal Palace we had late breakfast and they waited for all to leave to put out lunch (2005). Felt rushed then because you know they were all waiting for you to leave.
