Hi all,

I've never been to nor tried to reserve a table for Chef Mickey's -- how hard is it to get a table? We are traveling as a group of 7. I am not picky on day of week; but we do know that we want a brekkie if humanly possible :)

What do you think my chances are getting a table between Aug 29-Sept 5th?... and one more Q; we have a split stay so -- can I book as of my first check in date for the whole time we are there or am I capped to the nights of each stay? :confused3

1) It can be hard to get, based upon time.
2) You are limted to
. . . check-in day plus 10 days, if more than 10 days
. . . check-in day until he end of stay, if less than 10 days

All I can say is try hard, it is a hard ticket to get.

And as far as your stay, I read on the boards that with split stays, you can call 90 days from your arrival date and make ADRs for that part of your stay because there is a check-in and check-out date for the stay. You would then have to call on the 90 day mark for the first day of the second part of your split to make the rest of your ADRs. You could try to make ADRs for the whole stay but that is what I have read is the policy. :confused3

Its kind of hard to get and if you do you get a late time. I wanted a 5 or 6 wound up with an 8:00 pm. I have been trying a few times calling for cancellations with no luck. I called today and the reservationist told me they were opening up for lunch now so i rescheduled for a 2:15 lunch which works out much better for us. Now i can spend my time at the MK later on in the evening, see the parade, etc... Please be aware not every reservationist knows that they are open for lunch. I had talked to two of them today (first one said it was available but then had computer difficulty and put me through to someone else, the 2nd lady had no idea they offered lunch. I would mention it

oh I didn't know they were opening for lunch.. that is great to know and it's a good way to take a 'break' mid day at the park :)

Call ASAP. Also, they might tell you that they have to seat you at 2 tables (one for 3 and one for 4), but we've almost always found that we end up seated together.

I'm not going during Free Dining, but when I called I had my pick of 5 breakfast times on the day I wanted!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 This was just a couple of days ago , around my 47 day mark!

Awesome!

I hope it's that easy knowing I am there during free dining. I am not participating in it being that I am a DVC member on DVC points but I just need to hope to get a table!

ive never ever had a problem scoring a breakfast reservation at chef mickeys. its my favorite buffet character breakfast! i wouldnt miss it! :lovestruc

I think that it is pretty hard to get an ADR there so you have to call ASAP!
