Chef Mickey's for dinner??

We've done breakfast but never dinner at CM. The breakfast is good but I agree with the other posters that it's an absolute madhouse at breakfast. I've heard that dinner isn't so crazy and noisy.

We are trying CM for dinner for the first time during our trip in April. I'm looking forward to it. I've heard lots of mixed reviews. Some people like it and some people don't. I think each person has to judge for themselves whether they like it or not. So that's what we're going to do. We have late ADR's at 7:50 pm which at first I wasn't too thrilled about but I've read that it's better to eat there at off-peak hours. Granted I could be wrong and 7:50 is not really off-peak.

We were really excited for our ADR here but were thoroughly unimpressed. We didn't expect super yummy food, but I could barely eat here. The atmosphere is still really cute though.

How late is Chef Mickeys open? I made a reservation today for Feb 26th for 9pm but I think I seen somewhere that they close at 9:30pm hmmm thinking I'm might have to try to change the time and date

Ive been to both, breakfast many times and dinner twice now. I have found the characters the same and I enjoy both meals very much.

We've had dinner at Chef Mickey's during each of our last 3 trips. Food was very good for a buffet, especially the desserts, and the characters were a blast. Each time we went, Mickey and Goofy engaged a large group of kids into some kind of dance (e.g., a conga line, limbo, and the Macarena). Loads of fun for the little ones.

For our upcoming trip, we have an ADR there on our arrival night. We won’t use a park ticket that day anyway, and Chef M’s is a great way to get into the Disney spirit. ADR is at 7:00 so after dinner, we’re planning to take the monorail to the Polynesian so we can watch the MK fireworks and Electric Water Pageant from the beach there.

I think it will be an awesome way to begin our trip.

We're trying a meal there (dinner) for the first time this June on our arrival day as well. I agree that it will be a nice way to start the vacation and get in the Disney mood without having to rush to get to a park. We have 4 children, the youngest of which will be almost 7, so they are all better able to help themselves at the buffet. The last time we were at WDW the kids were 3 through 11 and we avoided buffets because of the balancing act of helping with their plates and such.

We always go to CM for dinner on our arrival night. This way we don't waste a park day or morning. After dinner we take a monorail ride and head back for a good night's sleep before we hit the parks. We have always enjoyed the food and the characters are great! Plenty of time to enjoy them all.
