Chef Mickey's breakfast vs dinner?

We are going in Aug and are travelling with 3 children ages 7,4 and 3.

We have a current reservation for Chef Mickey's for dinner but are considering if breakfast would be better, so I have some questions

Is the food better, worse, the same at breakfast and dinner?

Would we have more character interaction/time at dinner vs breakfast?

Any other opinions would be great, Thanks

We had bfast there last summer and loved it. We have dinner planned for this year. I think breakfast would be better for you, but not for any CM's reason. You have young kids, by dinner time who knows how cranky they'll be. I think they'll be more magical after a good night's sleep and all of the day's excitement bundled up inside, what a great way to let them release it.

Just an FYI we had breakfast after 11am. Fantastic character interaction, fresh hot foods. We were in MK 'til midnight the night before and I didn't want to book something causing us to "bounce" right up in the AM. If you wanted to get a couple of things done at MK on a day when it opens at 8am you could do that and have a late breakfast at CM's, probably a welcome break. It's a short monorail ride from MK to CR for Chef Mickey's. We walked to CR from the bus stop at MK, took 10 mins or less.

the benefit of dinner - make your own sundae bar! Not just a plate with a cup of ice cream and some toppings the waiter brings to you, but a full bar where you put the ice cream of your choice in the bowl and pick from a ton of toppings and candy to put on it.

I could only get b-fast in July, and the kids only want to go for dinner so they can do the sundae bar!!

Not saying this would happen during dinner but sometimes when my family and were there during that time, I have seen Donald Duck go to the Sundae Bar and help the kids make them.

We usually do a Chef Mickey breakfast and dinner every trip and both have great food....plenty of variety at each . I think the character interaction is about the same at both meals. You can't go wrong with either meal regarding the characters or the food, IMO .

1/2 of our family really likes breakfast and the other 1/2 likes supper. I don't think you will go wrong.
I enjoy breakfast for numerous reasons one being I get the characters out of the way in the am and have that time to see the others I didn't see and I just like breakfast.
