Chef Mickey's - Breakfast or Dinner?

Eating there once is fine for the character experience but it's not really worth going back. The food is average at best and for the price, I'd expect more. Plus, Am I the only one annoyed with Disney pushing folks to take a picture with a statue of Mickey? Seriously?

We too have heard all sorts of negative reviews, and for the life of us, we can't figure out why. We enjoyed 2 dinners there, our latest for our wedding dinner, including my then 11 yr old son, and we have had nothing but great experiences there. Food is great, service was great, atmosphere and characters are so much fun. They even sat us at a special table with wonderful views of they lake and brought us a wedding cupcake! Mickey even came over and blew out our candle! Only thing we can think of is it's a bit loud, families are filled with the character excitement and I can't blame them one bit! If your looking for romance, this isn't your place but for us, it's a must do

This is DS' favorite character meal, so we do it every year. We have done both, but I prefer a late breakfast--11 AM--so that we do MK for a few hours and then relax over a huge breakfast. We love the cheesy hash browns, the cheese blintzes, the fresh fruit. I think there is a breakfast casserole too, that is yummy.

We went for breakfast last year and it was ok. We have dinner reservations in two weeks. We aren't expecting a gourmet meal, but we know the kids will have a blast.

We chose dinner this time because we felt like we had to rush to get to the parks when we ate breakfast there. Our reservations were for 8:00, but it just felt pressured to get done because we know the parks opened at 9:00. We are hoping to relax and enjoy our meal a bit more since we will be ready for a break by dinner time.
