chef mickey's - breakfast or dinner?

Thinking about checking out chef mickey's (never been before). I know it's a buffet - is the food better at breakfast or dinner? The same? Are the characters the same? It seems like a cute thing to do for an arrival night instead of using up a day on the ticket. Thanks!

We've done both. The character interaction is the same. The food, however, is not. The breakfast food is much better. We've done breakfast on every trip, but decided to do dinner on our last trip this past summer thinking that it would be a fun way to kick off the trip to have our first dinner there. Our girls still loved the fun, festive atmosphere but even they preferred the food at breakfast.

CM is a very fun dining experience and must for my family. The characters are the same for both breakfast and dinner. However, the food is 10 times better at breakfast than it is at dinner. I would recommend going to CM since it is a classic but I would only suggest going for breakfast. It opens as early as 7am so it doesn't have to put a dent into your park day. Have fun!

Thanks! I will definitely book a breakfast at chef mickey's! It will be great for the morning of our last day before our flight home.

We prefer the food at the dinner. I found the food at breakfast to be just as good as other breakfast food on property.

I personally think their breakfast is awful. Everything about this place is awful. The quality and variety of food was bad...the food wasnt even warm, it was lukewarm. Plus the atmosphere isnt very appealing. It reminds me of a school cafe. Also, it took forever for the characters to come around. I wouldnt go back, ever. It was horrible.

I would go with breakfast, we loved it. We have never tried it for dinner as the reviews are not so good. I guess it just depends on what you are in the mood for.

BREAKFAST is the way to go....can't really screw up eggs, pancakes, fruit, bacon, and so on....Dinner is in my opinion just plain and simple not so good.

Be sure to NOT leave until you have seen all the characters and if you are ready to leave and you missed one be sure to tell your waiter/waitress. The characters are fun but it seems like in the past few times we have gone they are in such a hurry.

Thats exactly what i thought too! pretty hard to screw up breakfast. But they sure did!! maybe it was an off day? I dunno. But it kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. There are far better options out there besides CM, which is why i wont go back. ....just my opinion.
