I called to change a ressie for the first weekend in May and CM was already booked up except very late ressies like 8:50. The booking window just opened how crazy is that. Now I am worried it is going to be crazy busy the first week of May.

I am so sorry...keep calling back, something may open...

Also check on the May Rest. ADR trading thread...someone may want to give theirs up!!

Good luck!

The booking window has been open for a while. V & A, CM,and CRT are open for booking up to (I think) 6/19. These were the three that did not go to the 90 day window yet, but will once the system catches up.

I made my May reservations for Chef Mickey's in December I think. It was awhile ago!! They are one of the ones who did not revert to 90 days yet!! Hope you are able to get a reservation. Keep calling. It is worth it!!:)

Chef Mickey's is very hard to get into, but keep trying, the food is wonderful!

Is Chef Mickey's still 180 days out? I thought everything was at 90 now. We have a trip planned for late September and I don't want to miss a chance to get a reservation here as my son loves it.

It's only 180 days out up to ADR's for June 19th. After that, it will be 90 out like everything else. OP-- I hope you get a ressie! --Katie

Good luck I hope you can get in!

So are you guys saying that I probably won't get and ADR for 6/1? If I wait til my window date on 2/25?

Call today for CM and just keep calling if you don't get what you want. Cancellations do happen. My kids wanted dinner at CM and I had breakfast booked. So I just canceled my CM breakfast slot (sorry it's not for 6/1) and was able to get in for dinner but on a different day and the timing was late. The CM indicated that if I keep calling back there is a chance that there might be an earlier ADR. The ADRs are available, but you have to be very flexible and persistent.

1st...Keep calling, you never know.
2nd....8:50 is not as bad as it sounds. We had a ressie at 9pm back in December. I wasn't sure it would work out, and right up until we got there, I was prepared to bag it. I forgot that we would be on "Disney Time" and that my son would still be running strong on the excitement of it all (we did have a nice snack around 5pm)... also, I was glad to get back to the room after dinner and just crash.
3rd....Do not worry about the crowds. We had the same problem with ressies back in December (which is why we took that 9pm slot!!), but there were plenty of times when we just walked on rides and we never waited more than 15 minutes to ride anything!!!!
4th...We've been twice in May and found that the weather and the crowds are both lovely.

I'm there the same week. I just called, and there are openings 5/4 - 5/8. Every day, there were openings for my party of 6 at around 7:30 (it varied each day from 7:20 to 7:40), and then after 10:00.

I took a 9:45 reservation. My group is very tough to get out early. They will conspire against me on this trip! My kids are 2 and 5, and I'll have the out-laws with me.

Dinner was only available after 8 each day. I didn't ask about lunch.

I just got 2 reservations at my choice of times on 2 different dates in May. I also got CRT dinner during the fireworks.

But, I'm on the Plat package and the planner made those reservations. I wonder if there isn't a different availability.

FWIW, I made our Fri, May 1st ADR's for Chef Mickey's back in early November and the earliest time I could get was 9:15 am. Party of 3. Of course, that's before I knew that if I just said I had a party of 4, I probably would have had my pick of whatever time I wanted.

Either way, 8:50 is not bad at all.

Try making your reservations for 4. Parties of 3 have issues sometimes.

As I stumbled across this thread I started freaking out b/c we definitely want to do CM for our kids bdays, as well as this being our first trip to disney. I quickly picked up the phone and called. Our dates are May 16-23 and I was told I could make ADR's on Feb. 15th. Needless to say we called and the lady let us make the reservation! We got in on the 20th for a dinner ressie at 5:10. So anybody else out ther going in May, I'd call now if you want to get into CM's!!

Everybody else - thanks a ton for the info!! I would've been so upset if we couldn't get the kids in there for their first trip and for their b-days! :cheer2:

I just got a table for 4 on 3/27 at 8:10 am. I called 3 different times today and finally they had one open. The other times all they had was 7 am or 9 pm. KEEP CALLING!

I actually kept the ressie I have for earlier in the week and went with Ohana for that day I wanted to switch out. I was just a bit shocked every day that week was booked at any normal time. I never realized that CM was that popular for dinner. Oh well at least I have a ressie there for my trip. LOL. Maybe it was because I was trying for a Saturday night. :confused3 Still no openings. I think I will leave well enough alone. Hopefully this helps someone else and they get their ressie in on time.
