Chef Mickey travel question

We have breakfast ADR's at Chef Mickey's for our last day at Disney in a couple weeks. We will be staying at Pop Century resort. I am thinking since Epcot is closer to Pop that it will be quicker to catch the bus to Epcot and take the monorail over to Chef Mickey's. So about what time should I leave Pop in order to get to Chef Mickey's by 10:00?

TIA, Danette

Personally I think it's going to be a lot faster taking bus to the Magic Kingdom and then using the walkway to the Contemporary.

Agreed. We stayed at POFQ, took the bus to MK, the bus driver overheard us talking about CM and offered to drop us right at the CR! It was SO nice.

You would have to walk from the Epcot bus area to up the monorail ramp and then wait for a monorail. Once you got to TTC you would have to go down the exit ramp and up the to the Resort eam part of the station. After waiting for a monorail it would then stop at Poly, GF and MK before getting to CR.

If you take the bus to MK Bus ustation, the distance from the bus station to CR is just about the same as the distance from the bus station to the MK Gates. And, as another mentioned, the driver might even drop you off in front of the CR before turning into the bus station.

When the buses drop people off at the Contemporary for ADR's doesn't that usually happen early in the morning for guests with ADR's around 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM? So if the OP needs to get there by 10:00 AM won't there be many more guests going to the Magic Kingdom, plus wouldn't the bus be going right back to Pop Century or another WDW Resort?

Definitely do as others have suggested and take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and the walk to the Contemporary. Not only is it the most direct route, it will involve taking just one transportation segment (bus) rather than the three (bus, monorail, second monorail) that your original plan would.

It is actually about twice as far from the bus stop to the Contemporary as it is to the Magic Kingdom gate, but it is still a very short and do-able walk. Plus it will allow you to walk off a bit of the calories in advance of eating the yummy food at CM's!

If you'd rather not walk then your best bet is still the bus to the Magic Kingdom, followed by the monorail to the Contemporary. The Contemporary will be the first stop from the MK, rather than the 4th from the TTC (where you would have to change monorails coming from EPCOT)...just make sure you get on the Resort Monorail, not the Express.

Have a great trip!

Busses from Pop take the long route to Epcot, going south to Osceola Parkway, rather than north to Buena Vista Drive (as the DHS bus does). The MK bus also takes Osceola Pkwy. So, by the time you would get to Epcot, you would have been more than halfway to MK anyway.

Better to take the MK bus, then walk across the street.
