We have an 8 am at CM. Plan to valet park and then walk to MK after breakfast for a few hours. Do you think it's reasonable that we can be at MK by 9:30?

Since Chef Mickey's is a buffet you can control how long you will be there. The bigger question is whether you will be seated at 8am or have to wait a while. The last time we went to CM for breakfast was a few years ago but I do remember the lines were really long.
It is probably very likely that you can be in the MK by 9:30am.

There should be no problem...just make sure you get to Chef Mickey's at least 15 minutes early. There is often a big line to check in at the podium.

Tough to tell because like the earlier post said you may get seated after 8am. I always make my ressie's late like 10:30 or 10:45 it's less busy then, but it's not convenient for everyone.

FWIW - If you are not a CR guest & are only there for CM's you will be given a 3 hour (4 hr.?) parking pass even for valet. They are very strict about this. I have seen cars towed.

I had an 8:10am ressie on 2/17. We were not seated until almost 9:00! By the time all the characters had made their rounds it was 10:00. It was also our MK day. It was a terrible way to start the day. The most disappointing experience of our entire trip.

I did see earlier guests leaving as we were waiting in line. They were commenting on how glad they were to have arrived early. My recommendation - if you really want to eat there - is to get their earliest time slot or go much later as another poster suggested. My best recommendation is do not eat there at all!

We were at Chef Mickey's twice for dinner last month.

Both times, we arrived a little early, had our photos taken right away, & then were seated....no waiting. Our dinners were around 6 p.m.

We are staying at CSR and have 8 am ressies at CM's...no car. Will the busses be running to MK that early? I figured we would take a bus to MK and then hop on the monorail.

FYI, resort parking is for guests of that resort, or for folks visiting that resort for dining, etc. It's not for theme park parking. If you are planning at being at MK for a while, it is probably better to either take your resort transportation (if staying onsite) or use the MK parking lot. Since your are going to MK and the CR is right by it, it is very convenient to take resort transportation to MK and and then walk or monorail to Chef Mickey's. That way you can enjoy yourself and not worry about the three hour time limit (you are given a three hour pass at the security gate if you have a dining ressie).
