Thinking of a character breakfast - which is better Chef Mickey or 1900 Park Fare??? or would there be someplace else at a resort location that would be better?

I have not eaten at Chef Mickey's but we have at Park Fare. We had dinner there and I thought it was nice and they have a lot of different choices on the buffet. I have heard some bad reviews of Chef Mickey's but we plan on eating there sometime anyway.

If there was a Golden Coral in WDW it would be a better option than Chef Mickey. But with that said I personally don't think 1900 PF's food is all that great either. What it does offer is great character fun. I should admit though, I am not a big fan of buffet food.

We did Chef Mickey's on our departure day back in May. I feel like 1900 Park Faire has more of a variety to choose from, for the money CM was a major let down from back in it's glory days (not to mention the huge increase in price from years past, now it's about the same price as dinner!) Wound up paying close to $200 for four of us to eat bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. Our server was very lax to bring beverage refills. We were literally in and out in 45 minutes (and all characters come by once, for a very short amount of time)

1900 would be my pick of the two.

There is also a breakfast at Ohana in the Polynesian and Cape May Cafe at Beach Club.

1900 Park Fare and 'Ohana are my favorites. I would pick from there based on character preference, which, for the record, is why we did both last trip. Our favorites are Stitch and Alice. Chef Mickey has Mickey and friends, but the food was so terrible the last time we went that we won't be returning unless we had a really need to see those characters.

I always say 1900 Park Fare. It is a "classier" feel for me kinda because it is in the GF. It also has more unique characters, not the core ones.

Chef Mickey's breakfast food is better than their dinner food. Chef Mickey's also has the fab 5. 1900 Park Fare has good character interaction, but if you have younger kids they might not know who Alice in Wonderland, The Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins are. Honestly when we ate at 1900 Park Fare all my kids wanted were the fruit loops, lol. I think the food selection is about the same...just pick the characters you would rather see.

Is the 1900 Fare Breakfast less crowded than the dinner?

their breakfast is definitely less crowded than their dinner. Although when we go to their breakfast its usually for an 8 AM ADR so its pretty quiet. When we were there in April we got to see the characters twice bc there wasn't that many people there. Its always a lot quieter too than dinner. For some reason dinner always seems louder than breakfast, maybe people just aren't awake yet when they go to breakfast, lol

What characters are at O'Hana's breakfast.... was thinking the location for 1900 PF - and wasn't sure which characters were there. my kids are 9 and 4 --- and they have no clue who Alice or the Mad Hatter is... and the oldest wants nothing to do with Winnie the Pooh! I'm thinking they may enjoy Stitch a little more? We are also doing the cruise after the park - so perhaps we will see enough of Mickey and Friends there?

Ohana is really good...my kids love Ohana its always a must do on our trips. They have Lilo and Stitch and Mickey and Pluto there. Its a really comfy place to eat and they bring the food right to you. My hubby loves their juice there

Ohana is always my favorite character breakfast, that would be my first pick. I would do 1900 over Chef Mickeys as the food has really gone downhill at Chef Mickey's over the past few years.

We had the earliest breakfast at 1900 PF this past December. My two boys (5 and 3 at the time) loved it! Mary Poppins greeted us at the door and walked my boys to their seats. Alice, Pooh, Tigger, and the Mad Hatter spent tons of time at our table. It was the best character meal we've had (including Akershus, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey, and Garden Grill). They have strawberry soup there too!!!!! Your oldest might like Ohana better, but 1900 PF is better than Chef Mickey.
