Cheese Soup to go, but no pins!

We were at the Food & Wine Fest this afternoon.
Many will be happy to know they can buy CHEESE SOUP in one of the outside kiosks in Canada. I almost bought some to go.

On the downside --
No Food & Wine pins anywhere to be found. I started looking for them mid afternoon. I thought just 2.5 days into a 6 week festival and ALL the pins are Gone? Even the Passholder pins?! Not a happy pin person was I. (Guess it did not help it was hot outside and I have been battling back problems all weekend, )
Two CMs told me to go on line and pre-order the box LE set. (The ones I DIDN'T want anyway.)
Really ticked me off.
Finally one CM told me they had only sold out of what they had. More were to come in, but she did not know when.

Still the pits, IMHO. I would like at least the AP pin. But I always figure that is more $ in my pocket.

You know, I thought the same thing last year.
What about all the non pin collectors who went to Food and Wine and just want a small token of their time, hence a pin and they were sold out like half way through the event last year!

And this year the event is even longer, and they are still only 3500. I am thinking they are only putting out so many per day so they have enough to last the event.

So sorry you couldn't get any!

But that cheese soup..YUM..I am telling you, if they had a kiosk all yr long with that, they would make a MINT.

I know that if they had the Cheese Soup sold at the kiosk in Canada year round I would probably visit just about every day of every trip!

We went this evening and they did have the Goofy pin, so much like we speculated, they put a few out per day.

Let me tell you though...the scan of the Goofy pin doesn't do it justice! It is very nice and 3D.

And yes, of course I got myself a cup of cheese soup in Canada.

The Peruvian chicken is delicious!

Also tried the Irish Corned Beef and Cabbage YUM! But why is the Ireland kiosk over by Mexico and not near UK?

The Oktoberfest brew is always great.....and I don't even like beer!

And this is Lynnie posting because we still can't this name to sign out so I can sign in. argh.

Edited to add....Ray and I were talking....why don't they ever do a rack Food and Wine pin? For people who aren't necessarily pin collectors but would want a souvie? I am sure they would sell lots!.
