Cheese Fondue ?

Does anyone know if I can use sherry in place of Kirsch when making my fondue? I am out of Kirsch and would prefer not to go out again if I can help it.

We love cheese fondue but we don't make it from scratch. We buy the stuff in the package at the grocery store then add more gruyere cheese and a little bit of white wine. I'm not sure you'd have to add sherry to it, but I'd use a very, very small amount. Please let us know how it turns out

Thanks Micca, I make my fondue from scratch and right now I wish I didn't. Just kidding, I just get very frustrated with myself when I run out of something and forget to put it on my list, or in this case I forgot my list at home.
