We will be at WDW Feb. 8-13. Thursday the 9th is an EMH morning and has both Spectro and Wishes at night (I am guessing it will be crazy busy!!!). Friday the 10th has the cheerleaders touring in the afternoon and evening. Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th would have the increased weekend crowd. On which day would you tour MK? I would like to go to MK on Friday, but I am worried that the cheerleaders might make the park a little crazy (I am not slamming cheeleaders, just trying to make the best touring plan :) ).

Thanks for your input!

we will be there at the same time, i am going to stay away from the parks that the cheerleaders are at, again..not slamming cheerleaders...good luck with your plan! You have to remember that you will be at Disney! A bad day at Disney beats a good day at work!! Enjoy! :flower: :flower:

How do you know what day the cheerleaders are touring the parks?

We'll be there from the 7th-14th, so I'm interested!

We have gone to WDW every year for the last five years at the same time...this year we are going to be there 2/10 - 2/19. Every year we have encountered the cheerleaders....but I have to say, we ALWAYS go to MK on the Tues that we are there and we have never had much problem. We have walked on and off rides and had no waits. We usuually do Epcot and MGM the Thurs that we are in teh world and the same holds true. We see cheerleaders all the time but we have never encountered much of a crowd.

Maybe we have and I am just blissfully unaware - :crazy2:

So I would suggest MK on Thurs...don't know why, I guess just becuase you aren't going to be there on Tues. I have always had good luck touring the parks on Tues and Thurs during our annual Feb visits.

Now, talk to be in two years when we decide to go on Christmas Break

There is a huge baton twirling event at Disney over Presidents Day weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday...Friday there are girls in the Spectromagic parade, Saturday is competition, but the rest of the competitors will be in the Share a Dream Come True parade on Saturday afternoon. That means once Competition is over, they will all head over to MK. Sunday is awards at the Beauty & the Beast stage, so Im betting lots of girls will be in MGM that day

I know that they will be at MK on Friday 2/10. I believe they will be at MGM on Sunday night. I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading something about them having unlimited access to ToT and RnRC. On one of the other threads regarding the February Cheerleading competition they had a link to the cheerleaders schedule. I would post a link, but I don't know how!!! :confused3 Good luck doing a search on the boards! I know you will find the info you need!

If they are there over Presidents Day weekend, then that should be Feb 17-20, since Presidents Day is on the 20th this year. If that is the case, then you may luck out and miss them by one week. Therefore, your planning might be a bit easier.

I'm hoping that is the case, b/c we will be there Sun the 12th to Fri the 17th and I would like to avoid any event bringing in more people than regular regardless of who they are. No offense to anyone, I just like my short lines. ;)

I copied this from another thread. Hope it helps someone! :flower:

Direct from UCA's site:

1. What is the schedule for the weekend?

Friday, Feb. 10th
• Squads arrive in Orlando.
• “UCA Night” at Magic Kingdom

Saturday, Feb 11th
• Rec./Youth teams, Junior High, Freshman,
Junior Varsity Semi-finals and Finals. Small,
Medium, and Large Varsity preliminaries
and the Small and Large Varsity Coed preliminaries
and finals.

Sunday, Feb. 12th
• Non-Building finals, Small, Medium, and
Large Varsity semi-finals and finals. This
evening squads will attend the NHSCC
Celebration Block Party at the
Disney-MGM Studios. The celebration
party is a private party with a D.J. and
unlimited rides on Twilight Zone Tower of
Terror™ and the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

Monday, Feb 13th
• Squads visit a Walt Disney World® Theme
Park of their choice for the day.

Tuesday, Feb 14th
• Squads depart Orlando.

2. In what hotel are we staying?
Accommodations will be provided at
Disney's All-Star Resort and Disney’s
Caribbean Beach Resort. Your squad may
choose in which resort they would like to be
housed. Disney's All-Star Resort is a very
nice, yet value-priced hotel. Disney's
Caribbean Beach Resort is considered to be
a more moderate priced hotel with larger
rooms on the Walt Disney World property.
Therefore the only difference in the package
price is the hotel cost. All other services will
remain the same for all hotels. In the event
that the Disney’s All-Star Resort sells out of
rooms, you will be automatically assigned to
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and contacted
by the NHSCC office.

Unfortunately not only are they at the parks, they are also at the resorts. We have encountered them on two of our trips. They are very rude, loud and appear to have very little supervision. My daughters were cheerleaders so I too am not slamming them but I'm not sure where these girls get their manners or if they feel that since they aren't at home they can do whatever they want at the expense of others who have invested alot of money and time into their vacations. :confused3 We stay clear of that time of the year.
