My DD6 is in tiny cheer. They have gone to some of the local highschool cheer competitons to perform. This weekend they are going to The Arnold Classic http://www.us-spirit.com/arnold.htm. How crazy is it going to be? I just want to help have my DD prepared. She doesn't get nervous in the gym settings. I just have no clue what to expect. :cheer2:

Never did cheer but we did many, many dance competitions. It can get crazy, sometimes lots of rushing going on. What I have seen is meltdowns from the kids because the Moms/parents are stressing out. I've seen Moms screaming at their kids...that does not help at all. I think at her age is she looks like she's getting nervous, just take a few minutes to sit with her and talk about how much fun it is...don't stress the winning. That is what they used to do with our kids when they were little. The teachers always stressed how much fun it was. (of course when they were older they stressed winning)

Where are you from? My daughter is Mini prep 1 from Indy. This is suppose to be a big one lots of people everywhere. Its not just cheer here. Come early if you want to park within a mile of the place. we have a hotel with a shuttle to it. Bring money to buy cheer stuff and pictures.

My DD is on the Just Kickin Starz. We go on at like 9:20 saturday morning. We have to be there at 7:50 so we are hoping parking won't be that bad that early. They are in the group of tiny cheer that is going to compete. We only have 5 girls. I know about all the other events and the state wrestling championship is going on too. Good Luck!

We keep telling her how much fun it will be. She is very excited. All she cares about is claiming the trophy they get regardless how they do. I guess I am the one that is nervous because it is such a big event and we are just a small rural town group.

Thats what the yopunger girtls on the squad like. The older girls want to win since they know the difference. My DD squad comptes aroung 9:48 i think a little after your DD. She is from Dreamquest and she is in the back to the left when it starts. i will keep a lookout for your DD team and help cheer them on. :cheer2:

She is the one on the right. Hailey is the tallest one. She is too funny. She doesn't like the crowd cheering back. She gets to say "louder" and "say it again" on the chant. She complains that the audience is too loud and they can't hear her say "say it again". I will be watching out for you DD as well. If you see mom's is pink Starz sweatshirts I am the pooh sized one.
