I'm so depressed. I took Jordan for his orientation to Junior High this evening. After we took the tour, we went to meet his teachers which was nice. I decided to drop in on my band teacher. He still has our award on the wall for WV Wind Ensemble Top Honors. We were #1 in the state . The sad part is that was 22 YEARS AGO . Boy did I feel old when we got back in the van . Time to sign up for AARP . DISCOUNTS AT McDONALDS!

It's pretty scary isn't it. Time passes but I still feel 18 in so many ways. My senior year of high school was one of my favorite years of my life. It's hard to believe it was so pickin long ago.

I know. Seeing some of my old teachers was really weird. I swear some of them haven't aged at all. I remember dreading my 5 year high school reunion. Now I'm dreading my 20th.

Good morning all!

It's supposed to only hit 103 today. It's a cool 90 right now, at 11 AM eastern time.

The high ended up being 106 here yesterday. Yes, you read it right. 106. Hottest temp. ever recorded for my town for any date by 3 degrees.

I'm actually a little chilly in my office because the A/C unit has been running constantly.

Fortunately, the humidity levels are in the 20-30 percent range, so it could be worse. This area usually has at least 75-80% humidity levels in August.

I just finished mowing. I started at 9 this morning, and it is ungodly hot outside. The kids want to go outside and play, but I don't really think that's a great idea. Now a waterpark sounds great.

Good Morning. I shouldn't tell you all that I have a jacket on right now. Brrrrr. It's downright cold outside. Seriously. I'm sorry.

I've already had an idiot moment today. Yes, I have one a day but they usually occur a little later in the day. Last night I was helping at my mother's school, getting ready for the rummage sale they are having today and tomorrow. Some of the parents had made signs and I taped them to the sign boards. I also made arrows to point people in the right direction and got all the signs ready to go. My dad got up to place them at 6:30 this morning. This morning, I'm heading to work and I see a sign advertising a "Huge Sale". I think to myself. . Huh? I've seen those before. Where have I seen those signs? It took about 5 seconds before realization smacked me in the face. At least the signs were noticeable right?

Hey, the signs at least reminded you there was a sale going on. If you hadn't seen them, that opportunity would have passed you by. You should be thankful someone went through the trouble to make them.

I'm doing the self cleaning oven thing this morning and my house stinks. I've got plenty of candles lit but it's not really helping. So I'm stuck home for four hours with the lovely odor of burned grease. Anyone want to trade houses today?

Oh, I feel for you. I just went through that a couple of months ago. I am supposed to be in the shower right now but the Dis comes first on Saturday. I'm heading off to get my hair cut and then work at the rummage sale for the rest of the day. Last night my mom called and asked me to find more rummage for her. I mannaged to part with more books, a ton of mugs and an old lunch bag. They made over $1000 yesterday so I hope they can meet their goal today.

Good Morning everyone. Took the kids to see Underdog last night, and they loved it. For some reason, I don't remember seeing Jim Belushi in any of the trailers. It was a great movie for kids. I would like to take Jordan to see Rush Hour 3 tonight.

School starts tomorrow!

Good Morning! I'm actually relieved this weekend is over! It was crazy! The local schools started back this week which caused havoc with the traffic. I don't know why the city plans their road work the first week of school. Seems to happen every year.
