and tights are thought are the white things your one daughter has on. they aren't exactly leggings

Some of the books I've read call Wellingtons or rain boots, "rubbers" although now that you say that, I've heard it used as erasers as well.

I confused the heck out of an English friend of mine asking if "tights" were leggings - but I swear a book I read used tights to mean something more substantial.



And do you use "jumper" or the word sweater?? In America a jumper is a one-piece top and skirt thing.

a jumper to us is a top you use to put over a top sometimes we call them fleeces.

for example that that i am weraing is a top lol. to keep warmer you would put another top over kind of like a coat excpet in a more fleecy cottony thingy material
