I'm suprised that the whole Stand By Me thing didn't continue. I'm so sensitive to that, that I would probably get a bit queasy myself. The janitor thing is hilarious though! I'm suprised he didn't just wait!

Yeah. I don't know why he didn't wait. The kids would have been out of his way if he had waited 10 minutes.

I see Sthronds and GoofyDad were here. No green lights on. :sad1: I guess this will just be a drive by post. :moped:

Ah rats, missed you again Tricia! I was at lunch early today as we are terribly short handed. I hate going early because it makes the afternoon really long. :guilty:

This is going to be a quick visit from me. Dh has the flu, seems like it started in with a vengeance on Sunday (on Sat. he took Kailey to a play and they got our tree, then he got disoriented and somewhat lost coming back from what is essentially 2 turns away from us). He's slept the last three days, but the timing was not great. :guilty:

and vote for the nice looking sexy young pirate in white...

Froggy - you have a lot of begging to do all around the CB - get moving, man!

Ah Frog, you had my vote already! Nothing says sexy like a bright white tux! ;) Good Luck!

Hey Fab, sorry your DH is so sick. It's miserable having to watch someone be so miserable. Hope the little ones don't get anything nasty.

I already voted for you Frogster. Now I'll go vote for you as Dr. Pluto. Err. I mean, have Dr. Pluto vote for you.

Hey there.

I'm ready for tomorrow. I have the day off tomorrow. I'm so ready for tomorrow. Our network is giving me problems this week.

On the 'good news' side of things, we got a new, beefy project yesterday.

Also, my Death Star LEGO kit is finished! I started it last Friday night. Adam & I worked on it a bunch on Saturday. On Sunday, Adam had a friend over so we three worked on it in the afternoon, and then I worked on it late that night. Monday night we didn't work at all on it (Katie had dance lessons, dinner, grocery store run, etc.). We finished it about 9:00 last night. I would guess it took us about 30 total hours of build time. I'll take some photos and post 'em on my website in the next few days.

Wanna know a secret?

Today is my birthday. I'm old.

Thank you!

I'm looking forward to seeing your pics of the Death Star. It's a good accomplishment. I always liked having directions with my legos because when left to my own creativity, I built walls.

There are now LEGO instructions software programs, so you can document your do-it-yourself experiments. They're basically simple 3D-CAD programs, with LEGO part libraries to plug into (I'm thinking of a program called LDraw). I've done a couple of simple models with it, teaching myself 'the ropes' of LDraw. I'm already able to design 3D in Microstation, AutoCAD & 3D Studio so I'm attacking it differently than your average user would be. You can make pretty good instructions with them.

My ultimate goal is to do a World War 2-era aircraft carrier, complete with airplanes and minifig people. I don't have the time & money to expend on all that right now, though. Some day...

And I know, I'm a geek...

Susan I hope you have a wonderful day. Here's an idea.........ditch work early and go enjoy your day.

Um, that is way to complicated for me. . . I'll stick with walls! :teeth:

As for being a geek. . . I shouldn't talk. I've got a little area on my TV with my Christmas themed Star Wars figures. :rolleyes1

Thanks Tricia!

Can't ditch work early though. They decided to let one of my co-workers go for the month to think about how much she wants to commit to her job. It's not a good thing, but good timing with the holidays. It makes it tight for the rest of us though and we don't have the option to leave early. I am going out to dinner at a yummy restaurant tonight! :thumbsup2

What's the name of the yummy restaurant? Is it a chain? I hope you have a nice long meal with a few cocktails and get lots of presents. :teeth:
