My daughter is home sick with Salmonella poisoning. She stayed home from work yesterday and started to go this morning, drove a mile down the street and came right back home. She called and made a doctor's appointment (they had her come right in) and he gave her a prescription. He's going to report it to the State Board of Health as we've had something like 18 cases up here in the last few days! Don't eat the salad whatever you do!!!!!

Poor baby. Of course she's sick... it's a Holiday! She gets sick before just about every holiday, usually with an ear infection or a bad cold. We just don't understand it!! it's actually a little joke in our house.... oh, oh, there's a holiday coming up, Jacqui will be getting sick in the next few days!!

Oh Jeanny how awful for your DD! Was it definitely from the lettuce? Hope she feels better soon!

The candy in the house is killing me. I got rid of everything I bought but now I have all the kids candy staring me in the face. We went through it last night. All the yucky candy went with DH to work. They eat anything there. So what's left is the good stuff. So far I didn't eat any but I don't know how long I can hold out.

Well, last night was a bust for me. No trick or treaters, but I didn't really expect any. I had a bag of Tootsie Pops ready though. Now they are in my car because I thought about donating them to the work candy fund but now I am thinking they might be nice to have around.
