Oh! Fab came to play!

I don't understand the whole "Playdate" thing. I don't think they were called that when I was a child. We just called it having friends over. Interesting. . .

I'm heading to lunch now. Time for tomato soup and shopping for fish food. The fish food is for the fish, not for my soup . . . in case you were wondering. ;)

Oh, sorry I missed you, Susan!
Hey - what cruise line are you taking for the Riviera? I just noticed that.

I know, things are much more structured now than they used to be with kids playing. It has to do with so many things - kids have homework even in kindergarten, they are all taking *something* whether it be dance or gymnastics or Hebrew or whatever, and there's more expectation of adult supervision. I remember just kind of hanging out and not really knowing where the adults were.

Hey - it's not even 4! Get back to work. :surfweb:

What do the doggies think of the fish??

I'm going to be on Princess because I "earned" the cruise by taking all these online classes. Only problem is I am taking my dad who wanted an upgrade. My "free" cruise isn't so much free anymore. At least for my dad. ;)

The dog's have no idea that fish exist. They are short, the aquarium is up on a cabinet. The only other animal they know exists is the cat who they are not allowed to play with. The cat is too mean.

I'm at work, mostly working. Just slow today. :cool1:

:lmao:

My question of the day - if you could live anywhere in the US (without considering where either your parents or friends live - assume they'd all move with you, if you'd like) where would you live??

popcorn::

Well, that's a tough question. . . I live in a pretty fantastic place. It's hard to beat the weather, the ocean, the scenery. I guess I wouldn't mind going back to the little town I grew up in because I do miss my friends there. But. . . assuming that they would all come with me, I'd probably move to somewhere in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Maybe Breckinridge or somewhere like that. Or northern Washington state, like Belingham.

How about you?

I'm not sure. I need somewhere that is warmer, leans to the left politically, has great schools and interesting people.

I'm thinking of Austin, TX.

Good morning, Chicks and Gent!

Morning. :)

So far, nothing much happening this morning. I forgot my purse and had to go back to get it this morning. Figured I'd better have my drivers license. That pushed me to work just a little late but apparently no one cares since they didn't even appear to notice. The fact that I am NEVER late means they don't worry about me I guess. :confused3

You're so good! I've driven many times without my license (so much that I now just keep it in my car) and heck, I've only received *one* ticket for it. :lmao:

Went to the gym today and still have it as a goal to clean off my dining room table. I never know what to do with all this stuff - like the tire pressure guage a friend of mine got me. I don't really want it, but don't feel like I can give it away. :rolleyes1

i save all the weird stuff i get adn stuff i can use year round in a bin in the basement and then at Christmas time it's all the white elephant gifts! haha! great way to get rid of stuff :)

I would say that the tire-pressure guage would be perfect to put in the car's glove box. Out of the way, forgettable but there if you need it.

There, that problem's solved! :yay:

Lent started today and technically I should be giving something up. I try giving up smoking every year but since I don't smoke it's kind of a cop out. I don't really want to give up sweets like in years past because I have that cruise. I can't guarantee I won't want to eat a chocolate souffle. I also have to take into account that I can't give up anything I've already eaten or done today.

I probably could give up meat without any trouble. That's a possibility. . .

What happened Cheeky Chicks? Where are you? Helllllloooooooooooo?

Oh well. Good Morning! Hope you are having a lovely day. It's raining here but it looks like it might have slowed down a bit. We have a big bike race (Tour of California) coming into town today and I was hoping to walk downtown to see the festivities at lunch time. We'll have to see if the weather holds for the next hour or two.

Hi all!

Susan- how were the bike race festivities?

Hi All! The bike festivities were interesting. I was a little early and it was miserably gray and cold out. I was able to buy a hat for a friend and got a free bike bell. The sun came out as the riders were about 15 miles from town and it was just beautiful when they got here. Nice for those who were able to watch in person (I watched online). Today they are in Solvang which is a little Danish village about 45 minutes south of us. They are doing time trials in that area. Tomorrow they are leaving from Santa Barbara and heading to Santa Clarita (near Six Flags Magic Mountain). It's a pretty big event for our little area.

Any big plans for the Chicks?
