Just inputted confirmation number and name into Checkinsooner.com. They say they will get boarding passes from SWA at 24 hour mark before flight, both outbound and inbound. Free for guests. Anyone have experience with them??? Sounds too good, but if I don't have to putz around trying to get a boarding pass at POFQ at 9:50 AM when I could be at a park, then it's well worth free.

I would be suspitious of this. With your confirmation number and your name, they can cancel your reservation and reuse the ticket. I'm probably being paranoid but I wouldnt want to take the chance.

There have been other similar websites offering the same service. SW had them shut down. The concierge desk will be more than happy to do your online checkin. There also have been reports of Guest Services at the parks doing it as well.

Because SW tickets ARE transferable, I'd be very suspicious as well!

SW has been shutting most of these sites down. My memory is you also need your cc number if you want to change or cancel a reservation. I don't think they can do much with your reservation.

To change a ticketless fund ticket on SW you just need the type of credit card and the name of the person on that credit card. I'd be careful.
They would have your name so they would just have to figure out which credit card you used.

We always call someone back home to check us in at the 24 hour mark. Last trip we called my FIL from Epcot and he checked us in :) We printed our boarding passes when we arrived at MCO. Very easy and of course we got A ;)

Just got home and checked email, and checkinsooner did as they said. Checked us in and emailed boarding pass to my email address. Got A's, #'s 11 and 12. I can either print boarding passes here or at kiosk at airport. I don't know if there is much risk, but guess I will find out. Not having to worry about checking in at POFQ or guest services at a park while I could be on Soaring, TOT, or EE could very well be worth it.

What I find suspicious is that they do this for free ??
Why would they do this without some sort of profit or benefit.
I'm not so sure its a great benefit anyway ...particularily if you are easily able to do it yourself either at home ,work or hotel.

It is only free for the first month. Then it is $79 a year. I think you can only use it once for free for a Southwest check-in

They may be a great service, but they may be down, or out of service, or cut off by SW when you need them.

While I 100% agree that I don't want to bother worring about boarding passes, I'd much rather give the info to a friend or family member who I trust, than to an unknown company.

They have got to be kidding $79 a YEAR???? And for that you get what? My boarding pass had better be an A and have a little #1 to show me they worked hard for this LOL!

Wow! I find that SO not worth it! Does their service provide anything else? Heck maybe I will go into business and just charge everyone $1 ;)

As a guest, no account whatsoever, you can get Southwest BP's once a month.

If you have your laptop with some sort of internet access you can check-in on-line - and with southwest and delta and probably others - you can print bp when you arrive at airport.

Another option with SW is check in via cell phone internet and print at airport.

Well that's a viable business model :rotfl2: Anyone want to take bets on when this goes belly up or SW gets it shut down? (Which comes first?)

With all the negatives, I guess I'm the only one to see the positives. Just by providing conf. # and name, checkin/boarding pass is provided without having to be in front of a computer outbound or inbound. No looking for guest services, carrying a laptop, or standing in line at concierge to get BP's. The main reason I'm trying this, is we will be in the parks midday, and if I don't have to stop and search for guest services, when I can be having fun. To each his own.

I do believe Southwest shutdown other services like this because they were charging for checkin/BP's. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Leaving tomorrow for WDW...and that's a POSITIVE!!!!!!

You're wrong. They shut down the free ones as well. The free ones had no motivation to fight.

Based on history this site will be shut down soon, probably with no advance notice. You might not find out you don't have a BP until long after the 24 hour window.

I competely understand where you are coming from. It sounds as if you are returning in February in order to use the service for free for your return flight. My first two trips I taught my MIL how to do my check in. After that, I had a web-enabled cell phone, and I could check in that way.
Good Luck and Have a Great Trip......no matter how you check in.

Just out of curiosity - what is the big deal with getting an A pass anyway? You still have to wait for everyone to board, there are generally TONS of preboards to MCO, and everyone on the plane gets the same service anyway. Is it a concern of not getting on the plane? Or a need for your whole family to be side by side? DH and I often travel SWA out of BUF and have often gotten 'C' passes with no issue - and no stress of printing out passes at the crack of dawn. Anyway - just curious on the motivation. :confused3
