Checking Wailtlist-I'm Obsessing!

Ok, I just made a very difficult waitlist yesterday for my October trip. I know its only day 2, but how can I keep from checking dvcmember.com everyday? I am obsessing checking it...anyway I can just get an email sent when I get it?

Welcome to the curse of the waitlist. They don't send e-mails when your waitlist comes through. The only way to know is to keep checking the member website. They normally will send a confirmation letter but you will know sooner by checking the website.

I just had a 9 month old waitlist for AKV conciege come through last week. I did check it 4 times total. If I checked it everyday I would have went nuts. I had just about told myself that It was not coming through. When I checked it last week, I was shocked!!!! Here's to your Sanity!! Good Luck!

I just waitlisted today and I keep checking also. It will be a long 7 months. I just keep thinking of how excited i'll be if I check and it actually comes thru.

We had a 5 month waitlist 2 years ago for 1 day at BWV checked it EVERYDAY.....Called MS the day before check in and while on the phone with her IT CAME THRU...
Waitlist for Christmas last year did not come thru, GOODLUCK...Shawn

Great!! My waitlist is such a long shot, but I am feeling lucky!! I am waitlisting for 3 days for a beach cottage...there are only 6 total! Odds are very slim, but I am willing to wait.... I have dropped off checking from everyday to once on the weekend! Six more months to go!!

Me too I thought it was "normal" to check every day. The funny thing is that when my waitlist finally came through (2 days before my trip-it was just for the last night, so it was outside 7 days), I found out when I called about something else, before I saw it on the website.

Okay, it's good to know I'm right there with everyone else.

I check almost every day. We are currently booked at OKW, but waitlisted for BWV in June. But if it doesn't come through, that's okay too. OKW is really nice and you gotta love those lower points.
