Checking out

I was just at Aulani (loved it!!!) and didn't go to the desk to check out. Was I supposed to? This was my first DVC stay so it dawned on me after I left that maybe I should have? I have no receipt or anything, it wasn't under my door in the morning (not that I saw anyway). I thought they emailed it to you after you stayed but maybe I am thinking of somewhere else I have stayed

Do you usually go to the desk and check out? I never do. How do I get a receipt and check my bill? Thanks!!

I did not check out either, received an email the next day with a final bill outlining our charges.

Did you set-up Express Checkout when you checked-in or did online check-in? If so you should get an e-mail with any charges the next day showing your CC was charged for what you billed to the room.

I don't remember there being an option for that when I did online check in. If I had seen it I would have chosen it. I emailed member services, so I am waiting for them to get back to me. If I didn't set up express should I have gone to the desk? I have another Dvc stay in April and want to make sure I do what I am supposed to do

If you gave a CC during online check-in you are automatically set-up for Express Checkout.

I don't even remember doing it...If it was there, I'm sure I did it though. I will check on my credit card statement. I was so excited to check in I can't even remember doing it - haha!!

Don't worry....I didn't do anything either. I think they just do it automatically. I don't ever check out of hotels anymore unless we are checking out early (so they are aware they can start cleaning the room), but otherwise if we are there until posted check out time we just call bell services and are on our way.

They charged my card, so I guess I did fill it out! I can't believe how much we spent...We were only there one day!!

I am still waiting for member services to get back to me with a print out. I'm sure it is right, I just like to double check...

Hi, looking at booking the hotel side. Can someone please tell me if Aulani is like WDW where if you don't have a flight til night, they will watch your bags and you can still enjoy the facilities at the hotel.

Note: it has been 7 years since I was last at WDW if this has changed.

Yes, they will hold your bags...Even better, they have a lounge that you can use on check in and check out day, where you can shower, change clothes, hang out and watch tv, etc. They say it is only available once per day, but when I went the door wasn't locked (I was a little surprised at that).

That is great seeing as flight I am looking at isn't til 10pm. That way I can enjoy the pools and beach that day and not have to lose a day seeing as pressed for time
