Hello everyone!

We'll be at Melbourne Beach in June and I didn't realize how close it is to Vero. Will we be able to go over and poke around the resort? And is it worth it? From the article in the member's magazine it looks like we're only 16 miles away. We're renting a house with friends who *gasp* have never been to WDW and thought it would be fun to show them around. OT, but we're also taking them to Typhoon Lagoon then Chef Mickey's one day...we're trying to convert them! :rotfl:

Thanks!

Disney's Vero resort is so beautiful, I think it's worth checking out. I do know that non members can eat at the restaurants there. I know someone who did. However, I don't know if they allow people to stroll in to take a look? We wil be there in June and really can't wait!

Yes, you can definetly go over to VB for a visit. I wouldn't however count on being able to use the pool or anything, although if you check at the front desk and let them know you're members, ya never know. You can use the beach there as it's a public beach I guess. And of course you can dine and walk around the grounds otherwise though. If you want to make PS's for Shutters or Sonyas you need to call the resort direct:

Disney's Vero Beach Resort

HTH's enjoy your trip!

I would head over for dinner at Sonya's or Shutter's and then have drinks and dessert on the balcony of the Green Cabin Room followed by a stroll around the resort or on the beach. It would be a lovely evening.
