Checking into CBR - credit card question

Two questions..this is for 3 nights, room only.

I know you need to give a credit card...however, do they put any hold on it?

I already paid the deposit...can I pay the balance in cash upon arrival?

CC is ONLY if you wish to do room charging.

If you don't want to charge to the room - then you don't need to give them one.

They do not charge a 'pre-authorization' to the card.

Room only balance can be paid in cash at check-in.

Are you sure you don't need to give a credit card guarantee in case you trash the room and they need to charge you for damages? I've never stayed in a hotel room that didn't require that.

Yes absolutely 100% sure you do not need to leave a credit card.
