Does everyone in your stateroom have to be present to check in at the port? My husband and FIL plan to drop us girls and the luggage at the port and they will return to park at our hotel and catch the shuttle back. That may take a little time! Do we need to wait on them to check in? And, if we check in separately will our boarding groups be the same? Thanks for the help.

When we did our first cruise two years ago (so It may have been changed, but I think not), my dd and I went through the check-in process without my dh. We brought his passport and checked us all in, then he entered the tErminal with his driver's license. All the was needed was for him to take a photo, which we took during check-in, when we entered through the Mickey ear entrance. YMMV if you do not use Port Canaveral.

Hope it works out for you!

No, you do not need to be together. DD and I did a tour of Disney Studios the morning of our cruise, DW checked in, boarded and got meet and greet tickets while we were driving down to port. We ended up boarding 3 hours later with no problem whatsoever.
