Is there anyway/anywhere to connect to check email while at FW?

Thanks for your help.

they do have phone connections in the reception outpost (Front Desk), its not always convenient but is is available and is used often, i try and get up there late in the evening not quite so crowded.

On my recent trip some of the campgrounds offered WI FI access through www.linkspot.com worked pretty good for the most part, maybe Disney will someday get some type of WI-FI service

My last Ft. Wilderness trip, I had a Verizon wireless card and was able to get on the internet and check email through my web browser service right at my campsite.

It was a bit on the slow side, but I got good reception.

They have also added additional ports in the center of the check-in pavillion. However, they are standing room only (about 8-10 ports). I prefer the ones in the lobby. I pull up a seat and spent a couple of hours there and was the only one.

I have tried to dial up through my cell phone (9.6K connection) and it worked OK but that was with Nextel.

On this trip my wife and I both had t-mobile and it was horrible. We would go from 4 bars to none, by turning our head. Made it very difficult to keep up with work.

We have T-Mobile on our cell phones, and we have really good reception at most of Disney World, except inside some of the buildings.

I never missed a call while in Ft. Wilderness.

When we were at FW last December, I was told I could go to the business center to use my laptop. Not sure where that is, but I'm sure it can't be hard to find!:sunny:

I found information on another board that wifi service is being offered in the common areas of several hotels at WDW. It doesn't appear that you have to be a guest of the hotel to access the network. There is a fee - either per hour or per day - but you pay by credit card to a third party (not Disney) when you log on for the first time. The Contemporary, Coronado Springs, Grand Floridian and Boardwalk Resort are on the list.

Personally, I'd rather take a boat ride to the Contemporary and log on to a wifi broadband connection for $5.00 than a bus to the Outpost to dial in to a 56k max line for $.75.

Who knows, maybe wifi will be coming to FW soon!
