Checkin policy question

I am paying for a Disney room but want a Florida friend to join me.
If her name is on the reservation can she checkin before me?

I would think that as long as both of you are on the reservation, either one of you could check in....just call Disney and tell them....they are good about working with you!

She should be able to but some of the resort CM's seem to interpret the rules differently. We have had problems before getting rooms because we weren't the primary person in the room. Other times we have had no problems so it is hard to tell.

I was afraid the official answer might vary . Thats's why i was asking on here.
So at least sometimes they would be able to checkin.

in my experiences even though the person is listed as a guest on the reservation the person who received the confirmation, with that address, has to check in. Which is why they ask for ID to verify name and address. Unless you had the same address I am not sure they will let her check into your room, since technically she is your guest.

If your friends name is on your reservation as an additional name... You can call in advance and have them put an additional comment on the reservations stating that you called to inform them that your guest will be arriving first and can check the reservation in. The only thing is that if any money is due on the reservation they do require that at check in so your friend would be the one that has to pay that (sometimes in this situation they will allow your guest to put a CC on the res as a "guarantee" and if you do not come to make the payment by a certain time they will charge the CC that your friend left.)...
