Checked Luggage ?

DH and I are new to flying. I have only flown 1 time SW many years ago and DH has never flown. We are planning on an anniversary trip to WDW in October. We have been checking SW and Frontier for the best airfare rates. SW includes the checked luggage fees and I know Frontier does not. I was wondering if the charge is for one way, or when you pay the charge if it is for both ways of your flight if you book round trip.
