Check your waitlist....arghhh

Called to make my May reservations, and to check my Dec. waitlist and I get a "what waitlist?" I say the waitlist that I've been on since March! Apparently it was "deactivated" for some reason?????? I had just checked on it a month ago and it was fine. It was "deactivated" yesterday for some reason..... but now I'm back on it, who knows where though. I'm FUMED :furious:

It looks like I'll be at VWL for that first week in Dec. instead of being over by Epcot :rolleyes:

Thanks for listening to my rant, and a word to the wise to check on your waitlists!
 
Wouldn't it be a nice feature that if all waitlists were listed on the DVCMEMBER web site. So a member could check on there status. And if it comes through, DVC emails you with a "do you want it or not" confirmation. I think this would free up a lot of phone calls.

Sosorry this happened to you...I keep checking every time I call that it is still intact too. I will check again tomorrow.
 
I'm so sorry this happened to you. You have been so upbeat for all of us while we have been waiting for our waitlist to come through. Thinking good thoughts for you. Seems like they should be able to go into their system and see "where" you were when you were "deactivated" and put you back there. Good luck!
 

You're back on the wait list but where are you in line now?
 
This is my biggest DVC fear. Every time I call, I confirm my NYE waitlist (still there, as of last call). I've heard so many horror stories of waitlists being dropped, cancelled, etc. that I do check on it every time I call.

Lots of pixie dust to you, Liz, in hopes that the waitlist comes through.
 
I too would like to see the WL on the member web site so I could check it. A month ago I had all my waitlists cancelled because I rejected what was offered to me on 1 waitlist. MS told me if you don't call back in 24 hours to accept or reject the offer, they cancel ALL of your waitlists. If I don't take a BW view studio on 11/6, why does that necessarily mean I don't want the BW view 1 bedroom beginning 11/9?

Also, tonight I was on the phone with MS to get on a WL on a night by night basis, on a Thursday night, followed by the following Sunday and Monday nights (I want to substitute these for a cash res I already hold). The CM just did not get it. She put me on hold for 15 minutes. When she finally got back on the phone, she told me i had a WL for every night for 5 nights (including the Fri and Sat nights). I thought it was a common thing for members to pay cash on Fri and Sat, and use points for the surrounding nights.

Anyway, after waiting all of that time I just said "thanks. I really have no idea where my WL stands now. I told my DH I would call in the morning to get a CM who knows what she/he is talking about, and straighten it out.

It would be great to go on the MS web site and get that info.
 
I'm all for waitlists on the member site, how hard could it be? We have had multiple problems with the waitlist and I think it would help a lot to be able to see that you are in fact waitlisted and for the right property/room.
 
I emailed MS last night asking to be able to check waitlists on the web site. I am sure I will get a "Thanks, we will look into it ...yadda yadda" response.

However, if other members feel this way, why not send off an email about it also (or call)? Maybe that will put this issue on DVC's radar screen.
 
I called today to check on my waitlist status. The CM was able to find my original request and I was told I was no longer waitlisted since "I got exactly what I wanted". Wrong-- She told me she would re-activate my original request. That way I would go back on in my original position on the list. However, she was not able to give me any info on how long the list is.
