I think the 8.75% is statewide now - am I right, Disney Dreams?...
It's a statewide 1% hike...
ETA: Just heard on the news the tobacco tax went up from $0.39/pack to $1.01. WOWZERS!
...Isn't it called something like the 'vice tax'? ...
Apparently, it just went up to 9.5% here in King.Still not as high of a sales tax as in Tacoma!
(as long as you don't mention that we don't have a state income tax...)
Thankfully, tobacco is not one of my vices....Disney stuff IS one of my vices!!![]()
All I know is if they place a specified tax hike on chocolate, I may not be responsible for my actions!![]()
Yeah, hopefully they never do a specific Disney-tax! That would be a problem!![]()

Well, when Tom Sawyer Island was first opened at Disneyland Park in 1956, part of the opening day ceremonies included the reading of a proclamation by the Governor of Missouri in which he unilaterally annexed Tom Sawyer Island to that state.
As such, Tom Sawyer Island is not subject to the recent raise in California Sales Tax. Please verify when purchasing food or souvenirs on Tom Sawyer Island that you are being charged the Missouri Sales Tax of 4.225%.
If you have any questions, please contact a Disneyland Park Host or Hostess or the Department of Revenue, Government of the State of Missouri, located in Jefferson City, Mo..
