Royal pacific went down from $233 to $124 per night on April 15th through 17th. I'm going the 13th through the 17th so I didn't check any more dates.

Incredible! I havent seen rates this low in a long while. Was this a standard rate and room? Or, was it discounted like AAA or APH? Thanks!

Sorry, I forgot to say it was APH rate. The same thing happened to me the last time I went in April (not last year, the year before) . My rate started at over $200. for five nights, by the time my trip came, it went down to $109 for all but the first night, I switched to club for $195 per night. Hopefully I will be doing that again this year. There are six of us going so I need two rooms, and club is much better, but it needs to be affordable.

Does this happen for AAA or Entertainment rates as well? Because for August I am getting a rate of $167 and I would love to add a day or two, I know my husband will agree if we were able to get a cheaper rate.

you have to check on your own.

if you have booked, and your rate changes, call universal for a modification for the lower rate.

Just go to the universalorlando website and chose your hotel & your dates. Put your disocunt code (AAA, ENT, APH etc) in the rate box and see what numbers come up

If you have your rate changed, you should make sure you have an email confirmation of the new rate. Otherwise, your reservation number is fine.

you can call and request an email confirmation.
i always get it.

last year i stayed at rph for the first time, usually stay at hrh, but what they had in their system was incorrect.

my email confirmation saved the day.
both had the same confirmation number

No. If you see that the rates are down, call immediately and get them to alter your rate and send you an email confirmation of the new rate.

since you used an agent, you might have to have that agent call in your behalf.

maybe you should call AAA now and ask them what their procedures are to modify a ressie you made through them.


ressies are not adjusted because a rate decreases for a room you have already booked with a deposit.
it is up to the person to make the call/or agent/ to receive the new lower rate.

only so many rooms are set aside for the AAA rates. when those rooms are gone, they are gone
