Check Your Payment Due Date

A quick reminder if you have a summer trip to check when your final payment is due. I knew vaguely ours was due in March, and sure enough I got an e-mail reminding me in February. However, my parents are on the same trip and did not get an e-mail reminder, and it was completely off their radar screen. (Of course, they knew it would be due at some point but didn't have it front of mind.) I just happened to mention in passing I needed to call to make the final payment, and my mom realized all of a sudden she probably did too.

She called ABD, which insisted it had sent the e-mail to her (but was unable to actually forward the e-mail or otherwise confirm). I believe you are automatically canceled if you don't make that final payment, so it's worth double checking and putting it on your calendar.

Good call! I hope my travel agent will help me stay on it, but these "new" earlier payment due dates still catch me offguard, especially when I have 2 trips planned the same year.
