Check your e-mail, offer from Disney with PIN # came today

I didn't get the email with the pin #, but I did get a email that said: Here is Disney's most out-of-this-world offer, a special 3 day package starting at a value resort for $99, I called CRO and gave her the code number in that email and she said that was the same code for the Winter Dream package?? I am a AP holder, so I am going to wait for something that is not a package....

My e-mail was also entitled "Disney's most out of the world offer" but mine mentioned deluxes from $109.

There wasn't any availability when I called shortly after receiving the e-mail except for 2 rooms.

Oh well. I thought this offer might be good enough not to use our DVC points but we will be using those for our stay.

My four-year-old son got the email and I didn't. He was a former annual pass member, expired in February, as was I.

So can't figure out why he got the email to my account. I didn't get one.

Keep calling for availability.

I too called the day the email came out and there was nothing at WL for Dec. 17. The next day, no problem, courtyard booked for $156. Yippee!

WOWOWOW!!!!

Just saved $100 on my WL reservations - courtyard booked for same as Princessmoma!! Wonderful!!! I have to learn not to ignore these emails!!

So is there a code on the email? I'm not asking what the code is, I know we can't share that. Just if there is a code or if you can call and just ask for the special.

I don't remember in reading the above posts - has anyone received a discount for a Moderate?

There is a PIN that you asked to dial in before you get to the CM's. I told the CM I spoke with that I had a code, but she did not ask for it. However, the first thing she did say to me was that she needed to verify my name and address, and she gave me all of that information to verify back to her - so I then knew that I could not just forward the email on to someone else for their use.

When we got to discussing the reservations, she said yes, that is for AKL -- I told her no, that it said "Deluxe Resorts" and told her what Princessmomma had gotten with the same email - she then looked further and we were on our way to saving $$$!!

No email for me.:( I never get any email offers!

Are you registered on the official Disney site? I think that is how we got ours.

Tykes,

First,

I would make sure that you are registered on the Disney site.

Next,

I would call and ask about specials. If you have a reservation, mention that you have been thinking about cancelling and going to Universal-I've read before that some people were offered a special after saying this. I can't promise anything but you never know.

Have you tried getting an AP rate for your stay? This rate is the same as the AP rate.

I have an ap rate booked for the Poly but have to buy the ap to get it. Even with the added expense I'm still saving $80 over the Winter Dream Maker.

I've been hoping to get the email so I can save more, but not gonna loose sleep over it.

I did once receive a postcard. We had gone down in December and got the postcard for spring time which there was no way we could do it again so soon. Ended up going again in October with a decent ap rate. I'll probably get an email in January or February after having just gone.

That's the kind of "luck" I have.

Congrates to those who got the email and are able to us it and wishing those hoping to get one luck!

I am registered on the Disney site - twice actually, one is an old one under my maiden name.

I don't have an AP and we won't be going long enough for it to be really worth it.

Maybe I'm just last on the list ;)

Tykes, I would definitely take Floridafam's advice - one of my best discounts (Disney Institutes) I got over the phone with a CM, just by asking -- It was one of our favorite trips!!

Good luck!

I have never registered on the disney site but I did get the e-mail as well.

I called CRO about a month ago asking for prices for December. The CM asked for my e-mail address and I gave it to her. This is the only way they would have gotten my e-mail address.

I'm on the phone with CRO right now and so far they aren't able to help me. They offered me 149 for a moderate :(

I called back and asked if there were any specials for the Disney Visa. I thought I had read that their were package specials. She quoted me a decent package price and then I asked if there was anything for room only. I got a Mod for $88 a night! Yeah!!!!

tkyes:
You are lucky! I just called and asked about a room only discount with Disney Visa and the lady insisted the only special is the package which is about the same as the public package out there right now. I insisted that my "friend" had just gotten one and she said she didnt know how or why but if I had a code she could check. Strange.

I called this morning and told them I had an existing reservation and that e-mails were being sent to some for $79 for mods, asked if there was any way I could get this or any other room only discount available and he insisted he couldnt even look without a code to put into the computer. He was nice and I was understanding, I also mentioned that I hated to cancel my reservation since no discounts were being offered, just to see if this had any impact (it didnt) and I asked if he knew if there was a chance for a discount to become available for my time frame and he said he didnt. He said that marketing keeps them in the dark about that and that they receive a lot of calls daily about discounts. I think some people get lucky and get CM's that really go the extra mile to find the discounts, I keep hoping I'll get one of those CM's.

Yes I agree, some CMs must come through but you and I didnt get one of those! I also had canceled a reservation with a AAA discount because it was still too high and they didnt try to offer me anything to keep it. I also told the CM tonite that we already have a place to stay with the rest of our family (timeshare) but that hubby and I thought it would be nice for us and the kids to get away for a couple nights at a Disney resort but we cannot afford the prices. No go, nothing, you need a code I was told.
