Check your Alamo rates

Just checked my alamo rates for 6/26 - 7/5. There were down a few dollars from what I rebooked just a few days ago. I used the alamo $20 off coupon and walmart code all found on mousesavers. Total for my dates a midsize is $171.58

Gave it one more try & they dropped almost $20 to the OP!

Mid-size SUV for 9 days beginning 6/23, using 430710 and $25 coupon

$188.57

National still in the lead @ $177.89 (that's w/a $40 coupon though).

Come on Alamo - throw us a $40 coupon too

Am I missing something? My rates went up almost $100. I used the $25 coupon and the Walmart code. Dates: June 27- July 7 for a standard SUV. I would love to see my $274 rate go down.

My weekly Alamo full size SUV went from $281 to $265 by switching from the Costco code to the AMEX 7013604 code. I still have the $25 Costco coupon in there as well. thanks!

I still want to pay less though.

I think I must be missing something, too! My rates also went up almost $100. I originally have $113 (with all charges) for 7-18 to 7-22 full size in Atlanta. Now, my flight is landing three hours earlier and I'm trying to adjust the times and it keeps going up $100 even if I shave the 3 hours off the other end and we return it earlier. So then I tried to put my original times in with the same codes, still up $100. I'm using the Costco code and $20 coupon. I'm thinking I just got some fluke rate when I booked it, so I'm not cancelling the reservation.
Does anybody have any idea on what will happen when we show up 2 hours early to pick up our rental with Alamo?

I have been at least an hour early and never had a problem. I know your rental "clock" starts ticking at your actual pickup time not what's on your ressie so it may affect your bill if, when you return it, you now have exceeded another 24 hr. period. Depending on your flight times, it may add another day to your bill.
I know how you feel though. I had a great rate for Nov. with Dollar's KISS2 code. When extended family wanted to come too, we had to change our dates and the price had really gone up a lot. It really broke my heart to cancel that ressie.

I think I am stuck with $274. I have tried different codes, etc. Everything is almost $100 more each time I play with the site. Oh well.

Thank you . I got a lower rate with 25.00 Costco and amex. Is it okay to use costco and amex at the same time? Do you then have to pay with your amex card? Anything to print out an dpresent at counter?

If you use Costco and Amex codes, I would be prepared to show or pay with your Amex, and bring your Costco membership card, too.

I usually just use the Costco code and the Costco coupon.

I usually just use costco as well but this combination saved me a lot more than only using costco for some reason.

I don't have an AE card, but I tried the $25 of and my Costo coupon for Exec. members with a free upgrade and it was almost $600 That was no deal for me!
