mmouse37...Those shirts are SO cute. I may have to get ones for my kids for our cruise in August!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: They really did come out nicely. Great idea!:D
Jennifer

Beware they are incorrectly sized. I was told this when I called to order the child 's size. XL labeled 10-12 is really 18-20. So for a 10-12 you would need a med.! I was also informed that they are no longer allowing the word Disney before cruise-something to do with shirts in the gift shops on the ship.

I did notice that the one of the shirts seemed very large for a child's medium.

I guess they don't want to compete with the onboard merchandise???? So you can something like "I am going on the Mickey cruise, but not the Disney cruise...is that what you mean?

MJ

They are cute and when DH was looking at the catalog the other night he told our 15 year old DS that he was planning on ordering these for all of us to wear on the trip. :p

Although I wasn't home at the time I understand the reaction was similar to be threatened with some sort of major punishment!

Don't you just love being a parent sometimes? ;)

Yes. magic or magical is also acceptable. CALL now if the shirt is too big I got a free replacement , but mine was a size listed incorrectly in the book.

My DS20 thinks the shirts are a panic! My husband just rolled his eyes. We got him one anyway. They will look nice for the picture when we board.

Thanks for posting the links to the photos. The shirts are adorable!

How long did they take to come back to you? We're on the same cruise and I love this idea... do you think I have enough time to order?

GREAT SHIRT!! IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE GREAT FOR CHARACTER SIGNATURES.

mmouse37- I couldn't find this shirt in the last catalog I got, Spring 2003. Is it also on the web site, couldn't find it there either? Thanks.

SAMSMA....I just received two catalogs within a week of each other, so I am not sure which one I ordered out of. The catalog I am looking at now that has the shirts offered is with Christoper Robin on the cover with the pooh characters....says EASTER 2003. The shirts are listed on pages 44-45.

TODISNEY...yes, I think you would have time to order now..it only took 10 days to receive back. But, THEDISNEYMOM just said that they will not longer let you use Disney in the wording.

THEDISNEYMOM.....I called the catalog and spoke to the rep and she made no offer to replace the shirt...they just said sorry, it was a sizing mistake. I decided to keep it anyway. The catalog said M 6/6X and the shirt says M 10/12...that's a big difference!!!

JULMA....you are right, that's is what I intend to do. Drop the two shirts off at guest service on the first day and have the characters sign them...I will enclose different color fabric markers.

MJ

MMOUSE34- I'm surprised seeing as how easily they offered to change mine! For character signing you said fabric markers- do you have to press them or do anything special before washing?

Samsma- These are the shirts I got for my family! They are great!Just watch the childrens' sizes-med is 10-12 etc. Mine was also the Easter catalog.

CORRECTION- you can say "Mary" is going on a Disney....For some reason to do with insurance laws it has to be is going on....rather than just Disney Cruise

I was at the craft store today looking at Fabric Markers. I found some but they did not have any colors that I wanted...looked like their stock was very low. I also checked out the Sharpies but then I read on them that they are not to be used on cloth.

I do not know if you have to do anything special with the fabric markes...I didn't read that label.

MJ

Not sure why the Sharpies said not to use on fabric. We use them as the standard writing implement at Girl Scout events where shirt signing has developed into a fine art!

I have two shirts from a camporee last summer that have been washed multiple times and even went through at least once with all fabric bleach and the writing is as clear as the day they were signed. Maybe Sharpie just doesn't want the liability?
