I wasn't too caught up in the whole ADR thing before (only had ADR for character breakfast) but after doing some reading I didn't want to leave Disney without experiencing some of the "food fun". I only picked out 3 places I wanted to go (small compared to others). I was very limited in what was offered but for our plans I think it's okay. If not I have no prob dropping it as it was just a shot in the dark anyway. So here is what I was able to snag...

1. Dinner, Sat, 8:40pm @ Boma's AK Lodge
Only time available. This is the last seating time, correct? Any disadvantages/advantages to this? That day AK closes @ 5pm, so figured we will head over to the lodge and check out the resort, animal viewing, before dinner.

2. Character breakfast, Sun, 10:05 @ Cape May
This is a day of a little touring, hotels, boardwalk, DTD. No park.

3. Lunch, Mon, 1pm @ 50's Prime Time
Other option given was 1:35pm. Since park will be open late that day figured after eating we go back to resort for a break and come back in the evening for parade. If that's the plan should I go with the 1:35 time?

, not as extensive compared to some but really just wanted to sample a little. We are staying, DH & I, for a week (Wed-Wed)

Boma is good, and a lot of people really like it. Another great thing is the hotel. You will be glad you have made time to check it out, we love it!

Just ate at Cape May two weeks ago. We did not care for it, but a lot of people do like it. If you think it will be something you and your family will enjoy, go for it.

I have eaten at 50's Prime Time, it was great. There is a parade around 3 or 3:30 usually, is that what you are referring to or are you referring to Fantasmic? The parade is good, but Fantasmic is great!

Boma is my favorite dinner buffet. I love it! There is another thread where someone is asking if their Boma ADR for a little past 9:00 pm is too late so yours is not the latest. Since it sounds like you have never been to AKL before you will enjoy spending your extra time just checking out the resort and viewing animals from the many public viewing areas. They also have one of the nicest gift shops on Disney property, IMHO. Anytime after 8:00 pm you could head down to level one to check in at the Boma podium. You might be lucky and end up being seated earlier than 8:40 pm (or they might be running late, you never know, but it doesn't hurt to check.) I think that is one of the places that gives you a beeper once you've checked in. Victoria Falls is the bar area nearby where you could spend some time if you are so inclined.

I've heard great reviews of Cape May although we have not been there ourselves. The entire Boardwalk area is a great place to tour. You don't mention if you will be going during the Christmas Holidays. If you are, then you certainly want to go inside the lobbies of YC, BC & BWI. Be careful if you visit the Wyland Gallery by the BWI; you might wind up spending as much there as you did for your entire vacation! :scared1:

I have not been to Prime Time either. That gets mixed reviews. Go with whichever time works best for you.

ENJOY! :cheer2:
