check on AP rates

bad news, folks. When I was going through this same drill in December, they posted the rates sometime during the day-very irritating. Frankly, I think you almost have to call three times a day!!!!!

I think the last set of AP discounts were released on a Sunday. Does anyone know if Disney's pattern is to release on Sundays?

I know one year, maybe 3 yrs ago they were released on a Sunday for the fall rates. I was teaching Sunday school that week & was almost late to my class!!

Let's hope they come soon!! I'm waiting for Thanksgiving week...poly or WL!!

Ok, I'll be out of town this weekend, and now you guys have me paranoid! Is there any particular number that you call to check on the rates? I'm too busy at work to try to sift through my Disney files to find it! Thanks for any help!!

This is very irritating. Where are they? I spoke to at least 5 people who told me that if the rates aren't in the computer by 7am, they aren't going to be released that day. I agree with some of the previous posters who say that some of the Disney people aren't too friendly. Do they keep you on the phone for 10 min? That's what I've been getting. Hoping there coming soon. -Well at least I'm double digits today.

I had one guy (Van??) get quite surly with me the other morning. Good grief! Ive also been getting a lot of CM's wanting all of my information before they will tell me anything. I know they dont need it, so it is kind of irritating.

I also had one CM quote to me the rates for buying an AP. I very nicely said "Thank you, but I am looking for the room only rates for the AP". She then proceeds to tell me that there are no AP rates period on her computer. So I asked how far in August they were posted for and she said she didnt see August rates. Needless to say I hung up and tried another CM.

In the last week, these are some of the answers I have gotten:

Only on Sunday.
Any day of the week.
By 7 am.
Anytime of the day.
Switching my pre-existing reservation will not get me an AP rate.
As long as there are AP rates available, switching should be no problem.
Etc. Etc. Etc.

And every single one of them is absolutely sincere and convinced that what they are saying to me is the truth. It is really really hard to know what is going on.

This was the surprise dessert I ordered in advance for our anniversary dinner at the Cali Grill! DH loved it!

Okay, I really want to make my ressies!!! Where are those AP rates!!!! Okay, I'm a bit impatient! I would really like them to be released before Aug 24th! That's when I go back to school (teacher) and I remember in March having to call on a school morning, sitting in my room trying to talk and listen over my homeroom students coming off the buses and into the room! Needless to say, I just got off the phone when the bell rang for the pledge to the flag! Talk about !

Everyone needs to take a deep breath and relax. Regardless when they are released the news will be on this site and many others within minutes. This is what makes the pre-visit so much fun! (Okay, I admit it, I have called about 10 times over the last 3 days)

I wish I had some idea of what the codes vs AP prices would be for the Polynesian in Sept. I'm going to the local Disney Store tomorrow and would love to purchase my AP but only if it will be worth significant savings. Trying to be patient...

Inpatiently waiting for those AP or FL resident codes for WL. But I am seriously considering booking the Dolphin with an AP discount of $147.50 lakeview thru Dis. So far I'm 85 % sure But I'd still like to see what rates come up for Disney just to be 100 % !

I was wondering where the thread went, but I guess I found it. Can someone tell me what they think about this....we want to stay at the Ft. wilderness resort in a cabin, the cheapest rate I can get with AAA is $252, I had a ress but cancelled. I just don't know if I trust that whole when they come out then you can call back and apply the discount to your room deal?? I am afraid if I book at that price when I call back and they see I am already booked they will tell me they have no availabilty. What do you guys think??

You know, I am very surprised that someone who works at CR doesn't frequent these boards and let us know the low-down on everything.....or maybe what they say is true.....they really don't know anything.

Keep on hopin and prayin for the Fl res Oct rates and Ap's for everyone else!

I, too am thinking about the room only codes being released first...is this becasue they can get more money this way, then release the better discounts later...makes sense to me, but they've never done it that way. I want the best rate possible...waiting patiently...

8:15 Just got off the phone. CM kept apologizing when she said no codes past August. She gave the same story about them being "pending" and to keep calling every day.
