Is there an advantage to checking in 10 days early on the Disney Website since you have to get your Room Keys as tickets to the parks anyway? Just wondering if its not better to do it after Magical Express from the airport.

I did it for the first time last Dec. at WL. At WL (not sure about the other places but I'm pretty positive they're the same) there was a separate line for on-line checkin.
Compared to the times I did regular checkin, it was FAST. Everything was ready to go. I am definitely doing on-line check-in from now on.

I've never done the on-line check in. I haven't encountered long lines at check in, but then I don't go during peak times. So never had a long wait. Last visit, the on line check in line was longer, I walked right up

The reason for online check in is so you don't have to be behind parties who have a zillion questions and take twenty minutes to check in. On line check in is supposed to be for people who just need their room key (and tickets if that's part of your package) and then they leave. I used on line check in all the time now because I don't have to hear anything about park hours, or the transportation system or Extra Magic Hours, or the food court, or anything else. I just want my room key and that's it. They even have my phone number in the system so they can call when the room is ready. Takes me about two or three minutes to do check in rather than more time spent behind families with a zillion questions.
