We land at MCO at 5:32 pm. We are staying at the Poly. Just wondering in general if you arrive later, do you feel like you got a picked over room? I am guessing that we will get to the Poly around 7ish.

Thanks

On our last trip, we checked in to the GF around 9pm. We booked a garden view room and requested on our ressie to be in a quiet part of the hotel, away from the elevators. We got exactly what we asked for and had a beautiful garden view of the grounds. I don't feel like we got a less desirable room due to our late arrival time. We're arriving even later for out next trip, probably 11pm, so hopefully we'll have good luck again. Hope this helps. :goodvibes

they really do try to accommodate requests... though a big smile and being friendly at check in , I have found goes a long way toward getting an upgrade, or asking about other available locations.

This was also a concern of mine, as we will be arriving around 7 PM for our stay at Pop Century. I was told by a CM that they actually assign the room number to the guest's name 3 days ahead of time so as to try to accomodate all special requests. Other rooms are then given out as available to those who check in without advanced requests. So if you want a ground room, room close to pool, room far from pool, or room in a certain building, give the CM all of that info when you book it.

When I called yesterday to make sure I had requested connecting rooms the very nice CM told me they are on a first come first serve basis. She asked what time we would be checking in ( around 1:00 p.m.) and she said "Oh yes, there should be no problem in getting that." HTH!

We checked into WL on the night before Thanksgiving - around midnight. We had reserved a woods view bunk bed room and I had requested an upper floor - north wing around room 6020 (we had this room in the past) - and we were given Room 6020. I know the Lodge is crowded at Tgiving - so I do not think it mattered that we arrived at midnight.

Maybe it does depend on what you are requesting. We have requested connecting rooms at Pop for our June trip - our flight arrives at MCO at 9am - so hopefully that will help.

We have checked in both early and late and I honestly don't think it matters. They try to give you what you have requested. But if it's a really busy time frame it's going to be on a first come type basis regardless. And we always stay at the Poly and have always had great rooms. :)
