Taking my DD to check in 1/24. We are going a couple of days early-
Was wondering the EXACT address that we check in at? (Vista?)

AND what is the BEST hotel to stay at close by?-i had read on here the Holiday Inn Sunspree-but the recent reviews dont look to good :(

Any help any of you could give would be great!!
:woohoo::yay:

THANKS!!
Excited MOM!!

That depends on what you consider close by. On Disney property or within so many miles? Regardless of reviews Holiday Inn Sunspree is across the street from Vista so it's the closest. When my mom and I get there a few days early we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I'm staying at Pop with my family a couple days before my check-in. With the 25% off value resorts (that I'm not sure if it's still valid.. worth looking into, though) it's waaay cheaper than the Holiday Inn Sunspree. And it's on property. :]

So are we !!!:goodvibes:woohoo::woohoo:

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree last January when checking our daughter in for the CP. They were in the process of renovating at that time - not sure if they're finished now, but we got a renovated room and it was very nice! There was also a discount code on the Orlando Hotel & Attractions board that I was able to use. Here is the link to the post: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2270021&page=9&highlight=sunspree - one of the posters on this board is an employee and generously shares her Friends & Family discount with us.
The only negative was that the laundry room was outside and it was FREEZING!

When we took my DS down in August we stayed at Buena Vista Suites (with the sister resort Caribe Royale right next door). You can search the site--they have online specials on Wed. and Thurs. that offer good deals for a two bedroom suite. Buena Vista Suites also includes a very nice breakfast buffet every morning with lots of variety. They are located 5 minutes away from all the places you will be going for the first days of getting them settled in. They also have transportation to the parks.

For those of you who want to know where Vista (and the other apt complexes) are in comparison to say the parks or other places of interest here is a map. It is super helpful.

Yes, we've also stayed at both the Buena Vista Suites & Caribe Royale (on a different trip). They are both very nice and you can almost always find a discount on Mousesavers.

When I went down in AUgust with my DD we stayed at the Sunspree and checked out the next day. There is a Fairfield Inn, Springfield Inn and Courtyard Marriott all together in one parking lot right around the corner. Much nicer and cleaner. Still close to Vista Way.

Just a little review...

Sunspree is hit or miss with the rooms. I stayed there before check in and had an amazing room. It had recently been renovated and was building C I believe. When my mom and grandma came in April they also stayed there. The room they were first placed in had not been renovated and just looked old. I would honestly place it on the same level as the room I stayed in at the All Stars Movie. They ended up moving to a different room which was one of the renovated ones. So its close and some of the rooms are really nice (much nicer than say the disney value resorts) and some are not so nice.
