How is it that the last two trips to OKW when my requests(including medical requests for my 78 yr old mom) are not met at check in and I explain that the assignment they give me is not acceptable , they tell me that is all they have left. But, when I am politely firm about the room not being acceptable, the cm goes to the back office and finds a room that meets all my requests.
If the original room is really all they have, where does the acceptable room come from? And if my original room assignment is not all they have left, why do they say that? Have I mentioned I hate room ready ! Both of these were 4:30-5:00 check ins. Oh for the good old days when I could check in over the phone from home.

On my last trip there when we checked in at 5pm we were told we had a lock off two bedroom. I pulled out my reservation and explained that that was not what I requested. The CM tried to tell us that is all OKW has. That the units can be 2 bedroom lock off or 1 bedroom and studio. I explained that my ressie is for a dedicated 2 bedroom and not a lock off unit. We were traveling with 4 adults and 2 boys that are 15 each. I needed the additional closet space, not the kitchenette and microwave. The CM said that is all that is available. I argued that in the past when we made our ressies late, we were told the only unit left was a lock off. It was then my decision if that was exceptable and then o :confused3 n my ressie when it came it stated lock off unit. I would not except a lock off this time. It was not what I needed and I booked long enough in advance that I was told it was a dedicated 2 bedroom. After several trips to the back, he managed to get us a dedicated 2 bedroom. :confused3

They probably bump someone else out of their room. Either they checked in early and hadn't called for their assignment yet or had a room blocked for them for some reason. It's unfortunate though when you are on the other side of that.

My DH and I and 3 kids ages 2, 5, and 7 will be staying at OKW in February. We won't be checking in until late afternoon and after reading this post I am a little nervous about our room. We booked a 1 bedroom and requested it be near the HH so the kids can be close to the main pool. I know its not guaranteed but does anyone have any suggestions? Should I call the night before we leave?

You guys are scaring me! We have never had any problems at OKW, but NYE we can't get there until mid afternoon, and I know that will be a crowded time at OKW. I made that ressie at the 11 month window, and I only made one request, and that was for a non-smoking unit for medical reasons.
