Sorry to ask what must be a very obvious question to most of you but this is our first DLP trip (although we've done FL).

I've booked 2 nights/3days at a disney hotel in the middle of a longer trip to France. We plan on arriving by TGV in the morning, but how can I collect the tickets if the hotel check in time isn't until 3pm? Will they hand them over?:confused3

Thanks
S:)

Hey SRC welcome to the boards. Not an obvious question at all, it's one I asked before my first trip.

Basicly you should go ahead and check in, you sign all the paperwork and get your park tickets / breakfast vouchers. If your room is not ready they have a luggage storage area where you can sign over your cases. I assume you would just go back to the check in desk later on to get your room key.
However you never know your room could be ready. We arrive before our check in time when we went last time and our room was ready so we just chucked our cases in and ran to the parks.

Thats right, you can go to your hotel as soon as you get off the TGV, check in and get your park tickets etc. If your room is ready, you'll get your room key too. If its not, you can spend all day in the parks then come back to your hotel when you like (you don't have to come back at 3pm, you can come back after your evening meal etc if you prefer), and collect your room key from reception, your bags from the luggage store, and get settled in then :).

our room wasn't ready on our last trip but we got room keys and all, they would not be activated until after 3pm but at least i didnt have to queue up at reception again to get them

I've only checked in once to an onsite hotel when our room wasn't ready, and when I went back about 8pm to pick up our key, the reception (this was the Santa Fe) had been split into "check-in" and "room key collection" - so it only took about 5 minutes to get our key :).

yeah it was in the santa fe for me too. maybe as with everything else in dlp it depends on the cm :lmao:

Last summer in the New York Hotel we were given our tickets at around 9am when checking in and told they wer active and we could spend the day in the parks. We handed over our bags, there was no fee for the service, and room keys told they would be active from 3pm.

When we came back later in the day we arrived to find that someone had put our bags into the room for us so we didn't even need to go and claim them - good service in my book :)
