Just finished catching up, I almost peed myself over the Disney food comment!
TOOOO FUNNY!

Its a problem, I know. And low and behold I just stumbled upon the disneyfoodblog website a few weeks ago. And I am dieting, so why I torture myself is beyond me!

Have you all seen the self proclaimed "sore loser" thread about OMDD. I took the poll and posted a reply, but I am certainly not down and out yet!! We will be taking our OMDD trip to DW in September! There are still days to enter and drawings to happen and I think everyone should be positive instead of so discouraged! It's great to hear the stories of the winners and to "know" some of the individuals that were lucky enough! No self pitty here!!

Rofl! Imagine my horror when we were on page 2! I think my husband
thinks that all I do is DIS lately. Although, that is nothing new for him. Every time we have a trip planned I am always looking at resort pics and drooling over Disney food porn. We have gotten a lot accomplished the past to weekends despite my Disney daydreaming. We put in a new glass backsplash in our kitchen!

My husband seems to think I am going to run off with another DISboard member.

Actually, he went to Home Depot today, and asked me if I needed anything, so I asked him to get me 4 or 6 Alien Green paint chips.
Husband, "Why, what are you painting?"
Me, "I'm not painting anything, I need them for a project."
He refused to get them until I told him what they were for, and I knew he'd just make fun of me, so I didn't want to tell him. He called me a dork, and brought me 4 chips.

I think once the majority of the winners received their itineraries, and we hit a stand still at gaining any more winners, the neccessity for posting died down. Now is the occasional story of fed ex truck stalking, positive vibes to the still hopefuls, planning updates and questions from those just now finding this thread.

Just wanted to let you all know that I emailed DL back with my approved itinerary. Our friends are on the same flight we got, so let's hope that one is still available tomorrow when they finalize my e-tickets.

I have seen mention of the green Mickey head paint chips on here previously; can you tell me the story behind them?

Technically, they are referred to as LGMH -- Lime Green Mickey Heads. However, they are actually "alien green" paint samples in the shape of a Mickey head available only at Home Depot. Or you can make your own. People wear them on their backpacks or purses or jackets, whatever, so that they can be spotted by other DISers. Or hang them in their resort windows or put them on their doors.

On our very first trip to WDW, 2007, I saw a LGMH on a door just down from our room, so I left them a hello note w/our room number. Turns out they were checking out that day, but when they left, they sent us their leftover drinks, ponchos, etc. That was a nice surprise to find in our room when we returned. (I'm guessing mousekeeping must have delivered it.)

Other than that, my LGMHs in our window and hanging from my purse haven't attracted any other people from the DIS. But that doesn't stop me from sporting it. My husband even keeps an eye out for them, even though he scoffs at me.

I am a huge planner and organizer so I bought this binder to keep track of everything - hotel and air reservations, dining info/reservations, etc. Since we are extending our stay in California by a week, my binder has gotten full with all the extra stuff. I had to buy a new binder yesterday that was thicker to be able to hold all my stuff... and I still have 5 months to add stuff to it!

What else are you going to do in California?

My husband keeps laughing at me for spending so much time on these boards, and still having 7 months to go... He thinks I'm going to have every second planned out. I'm not that bad, but I will have our Character Meals planned out, and the Halloween Party night in a spreadsheet, as well as the park hours for the day, and the days Aladdin is on.

Do APs get Preferred Seating for Aladdin, or is that something you only get when you buy a travel package?
