Just curious, I noticed on the website where it displays the winners names it only lists about 22 or 23. Does that mean the other people haven't claimed their prize?

I don't think they've updated the website in about two weeks so there are a lot of winners not on there yet.

Thank you! That's why you knew the WDW info becuase of the paperwork error. Now I recall. Oh well, so I plan on arriving in the MK for my bday. Better than leaving :yay:

I've been there a couple weeks after my birthday, but never on my birthday. That just seems like it would be an awesome place to be for your birthday.

You NEVER have to pay for a prize you have won. You will have to pay taxes, that's inevitable. But you never have to front any money to receive a prize (other than your own expense for a notary). You are right -- your phone call was a scam.

Back to our regularly scheduled subject, OMDD. As I figure it, there are seven days left for drawings (including today) BUT I think we can reasonably expect up to three more business days for notifications, so I'm not giving up hope until March 5. :thumbsup2

There is at least one known exception to that rule, Beer sweeps are notorious for making you pay your port fees, airport taxes, etc upfront. Bud Light have had 4 cruises and a number of other trips to sporting events where the "winner" had to pay so much money upfront.

My mom and I used to go all the time at our birthdays. I was just there this past year and it was amazing! Now planning to go back this year with this trip:banana::banana:

:lmao: I had to be induced with both of mine. They wanted to take up perminant residency I think!

I know!!! First it was pins, then Vinylmations, now antenna balls. I might be featured on an episode of Diney Hoarders soon :rolleyes1

Disney Hoarders, *snort*. My mom could be on there. She's got popcorn boxes, napkins, and paper cups that she has brought home from various trips!

I do too! The other day I found a rubbermaid container full of past trip stuff. Folder that the hotels give you, about 20 mickey stickers, pamphlets, maps etc. We even save those popcorn buckets and use them at home for movie nights. Its an addiction! They have that Yard Goes Disney Show so why not a Disney Hoarders show? :rolleyes1

I'm gonna go take a short hour or two nap and then I have to go to class. I hope everyone has a good afternoon! :) Hopefully, we'll have some winners from DIS when I get back. Somebody should be winning today, right? I know we can never know, but, do they usually tell people on Thursdays? I'm hoping since they did it last week on Thursday that they'll do it this week on Thursday too. Who knows.

Congrats to all the winners! There is still hope! We are leaving for our trip in a few weeks and I am already ready to go back! Crazy :thumbsup2

Are your grandkids in the Phoenix area too? Are you going during fall break, next school year?

Yes- my grandkids are here on the west side also and have their fall break sort of late this year. Oct.13-19. I put in for it at work 10 months ahead knowing that everyone with kids would want that week off!
We went with them and DD & SIL in Oct of 2009 (first week) and the weather was as bad as August. I'm hoping for nicer temps this time.
My DGD5 is having Disney withdrawls,;) Everytime she heres the song on the radio (Good Life) she has to tell everyone that thats the song they sing in front of the Castle! When we go shopping she's asking, "Is this where the Disney Store is?" and yesterday she was asking where the Beasts castle is because she wants to see it. She must have heard me talk about it.
I took them and their mom (DD) last Oct to DL for a surprise Mickey's Halloween Party and had a blast. Took them to stay at my mom's which is 50-60 mins from DL and told them to bring costumes because the mall was having trick or treating, and when they got up the morning of the party, I had an invitation to Mickey's Halloween Party for them.
I am being sure to teach the grandkids about the wonderful world of Disney!

HGTV now has "My House Goes Disney", too.

Regarding the plastic popcorn buckets, which we have, does DL still give a discount on popcorn refills if you bring your bucket? And does it matter if your bucket is 2 years old?

I found out that I'd won on a Thursday so hopefully today another DISer will win! :thumbsup2

They do have their break late. Maybe that's good though. Chandler schools usually start the week before us, but they have 2 weeks to our 1. My daughter's break is Oct 8-15.

I have heard Anaheim was really hot last year. I hope it's cooler this year because we are looking for a break.

The way you invited the grandkids to Mickey's party is so fun. I think we will be there during MNSSHP time. Can you tell me anything about it? I've heard it's an additional fee.

So our DS who is 7 had basketball practice last night and as homework he was told to practice the " shooting movements" while in his head he visualized the ball going in. Well he asked my DH why that would help and he told him that sometimes visualizing it will help make it actually happen when it comes to doing it for real. On the way to school this morning DS was practicing and then said, "Mom! You have to start visualizing the Fedex guy handing you the letter or it wont happen!" So that's my practice for the day! That or the phone ringing with a 212. I love kids minds! A family can hope! :lmao:

I don't think they refill them. We were at WDW this year for Christmas and wanted to buy one of the cute snowman buckets, they told us they weren't refillable.

I second that positive thinking!! Fedex is coming today!! Fedex is coming today!! or I will get that magical phone call saying that I won:) Think Positive!!

MNSSHP is totally worth it!! It is extra, but maybe you can use your GC? :) we have gone twice and loved it. Both times the park was pretty empty, the firework show is amazing, and its great to see all the characters dressed up. We were able to ride splash mountain 2-3 times consecutively because there weren't many people in line. It was great to not get out and have to get in line again. Also the haunted mansion looks amazing as the nightmare before Christmas!

I have the DVR set! Friday night I think ;). I don't think they will let you refill with an old bucket. Have you ever read the refillable mug debate threads? :scared1:

Never been to the DL MNSSHP but we have been to the WDW MNSSHP twice and it is awesome! I even like it better than the MVMCP. We are huge Nightmare Before Christmas fans so one day we hope to make it to DL to see it.
