I came home at lunch and checked the answering machine and there was a call from a lady that just simply said "hello hello". I checked caller i.d. and it was a 212 area code number! I thought that I remembered someone here posting that was the area code you received the winning call from. I got super excited and called the number back. Imagine my disappointment when it said this is XYX calling on behalf of The American Bible Society. I just knew that I was receiving a call saying I had won. Then, I immediately felt shame that I was so disappointed that I received a call from the ABS (we had donated to their organization before).

Oh well, I'll keep entering!

Thanks! I'm so excited. A few minutes after getting the e-mail confirming that I had won I picked my boys up from school and told them. They were so excited. Poor guys have to wait until the summer though. I think they might just go crazy!

We're going to Disneyland because we've never been there before. Because we live in Georgia we are lucky enough to be able to go to WDW 2-3 times a year. We always camp at Fort Wilderness and cook our own food so we can keep the cost of our trips down. This trip will be awesome because we'll be in a hotel and will be able to eat out every meal and not have to worry about cooking or how much it will be costing (we're going to use the $1000 gift card for food). I'm hoping we'll have a say as to when we can fly home because we'd like to spend an extra week or so in California. I can't wait to hear from Disney so we can start planning!

I think 5 people out of the 20 days of this contest is great! I agree, there is probably a good majority of people who are randomly playing, while I have saved every single confirmation text since this started!!!

Yes. Entering helps.

You know you have to enter each day right? There is a prize given out for each day and if aren't entered that day then you can't win the trip given out that day. HOWEVER, each entry does make you eligible for the final day's drawing, so the more you enter the better shot you have at the last trip given away of the 60.

I know I have to enter every day, but since I haven't in like 5 days, maybe Disney thinks I'm not greedy

Just a thought - any chance we could add the method of entry (if the winner knows it) and date of win/notification to the original post? I check in every day and am really happy to see the list slowly growing (it really does make me feel like I have a chance to see that "real" people are winning this thing), but I can't keep up with the thread since I am not online during the day.

Obviously the additional info has no impact whatsoever on my chances, but it tricks my brain into thinking it can effect the outcome.

I entered every single day from the beginning of the contest online only, never by text. They don't tell you which day you won, but my name was drawn between the 8th and the 14th. The drawing was on the 18th (I'm assuming) and I received a letter by Fedex on the 19th. They didn't contact me beforehand by e-mail or phone, I guess since my address was on my account. I returned the affidavit the same day and they received it today (the 20th). Less than two hours later I received an e-mail telling me I was an official winner. My name isn't listed on the website yet, so hopefully on Monday.

I can't believe there are already 5 DISers out of 14 winners. That's amazing! Good luck to everyone. I'm sure there will be more of us that will win.

My husband is not as OCD as me when it comes to Disney planning so he is entering via text so that he can do it at anytime during the day that he remembers. I am entering via internet - usually in the afternoon or evening although sometimes in the am.

Just realized how late it is - I can enter again!!

We received our official congratulations email from Ventura Assoc. today as well and can't wait till we receive our packet from Disney and the real planning begins.

When I received my first call I was told that my text entry was the one that was chosen and I only entered on Jan. 16th by text. the others were online so I know that technically I would be the 16th winner.

Having trouble entering now.

Just tried... it told me, sorry, you've already entered for today.
Um, no, I haven't. It is now the 21st. I last entered on the 20th - I jot down on a piece of paper when I enter the date and time I entered...as really want to make sure don't double enter... Nope, never entered yet for the 21st.

Have 2 disney online accounts. Had been using one to enter ... till now yesterday when went to enter, it gave me communications error. So I logged into my other account, and entered for the 20th on that one - went through fine.
Now today just tried my original account I had been using till yesterday - got communication error again.... and then tried the one I used last night.... and that's when I got sorry, you already entered today.... but I didn't enter on the 21st ... I last entered on the 20th!
No one else in the house would be able to know my account info to enter instead - and I'm the only one here that is entering.

Really am not wanting to X myself out of this by multiple entries for one day.... and certainly haven't.... so am not understanding why it's telling me i've already entered.

Having issues online, so would enter by text... but can't I suppose, as it's saying I already entered today, which I haven't, but if text went through, then according to them I've disqualified myself.

Do you need to enter same time every day or something? Entered yesterday at 4:07 a.m. EST... now tried to enter at around 2:30 a.m. EST..... is it because it's not techincally 24 hours since last entry? A new day, is a new day, isn't it?

so am guessing no entry now for me for the 21st? Am thinking of going back to text entries as i did the first few days... but honestly, my cell phone is rarely near me and turned off when at work.... would never get the winning call from them I'm sure.

On your letter - at the bottom left is there a date - Mine said Jan 3rd I am guessing that is the day I won (the letter was dated Jan 6th)

I've seen that error previously and it has something fluky to do with your local browser.

If you have a different browser available on your computer, like Firefox or Chrome instead of Internet Explorer, try that instead. I bet you won't see that error.

If you only have one browser, try first closing all your browser windows and restarting, and if that doesn't work, then try clearing the cache of that browser.
