Your name is associated with both your email and phone. As a software developer it would be really easy for me to scan through the database of names to remove duplicates. Would you want to win the contest to only be disqualified because you entered twice? Or to not have your entry entered at all?

Yeah, I could use middle names and abbreviations and such, but too much risk for me, I'll just follow the rules. Not worth NOT winning.

Thanks for explaining. I texted yesterday as well as entered through the website, but we will just enter once per day online for DW and I (once for each account). It would stink to be disqualified for something silly.

that would be my luck,

I would get disqualified for not responding back fast enough....

I just read something about hubby and wife entering. Did I misread the rules? I thought only one entry per day per physical address? Who is right? I will get DH to enter too if I have misunderstood it!!!!

I read that it was one entry per day per Disney account/email address. I'd like to get a ruling on this as well. :confused3

It's ONE entry PER PERSON / CELL / ADDRESS

So yes, a husband & wife can each make their own entry. That's what I'm doing for us.

If you enter using your cell to text, then you cannot use your e-mail address to enter again that SAME day.

You cannot enter using your kids' names' if they are minors.

Quoted from the rules:

Entries are limited to one (1) Entry per person/Cell/Address for each Daily Sweepstakes, regardless of method of Entry or whether one person has more than one Cell/Address or more than one person use the same Cell/Address, resulting in a maximum of 60 Entries allowed for all Daily Sweepstakes. In event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an Entry, the Entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the Cell/Address is registered. Entries by any method other than set forth above in Section 3 are void. Any use of automated or programmed methods of effecting Entry is prohibited.

Open only to persons, who are, as of Entry, not minors as defined by their state, province or territory of primary residence ("Minors"), and who are legal residents of, and physically located within, the 50 United States, D.C. or Canada (excluding Quebec) (collectively, "Territory"), and are not employees of Sponsor, 3Ci or Administrator; their respective parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies; or the advertising, promotional or fulfillment agencies of any of them (individually and collectively, "Entities"); nor members of their households or immediate families (defined as parents, children, siblings, step-parents, step-children, step-siblings and their spouses).

You misunderstand me. I WANT to follow the rules...but I was having problems getting entries to submit online. I submitted via cell but realized my cell phone is not attached to my account on Disney.com (I went to the my account page...a HUGE hassle to get there, and found no evidence of a street address or cell number attached or a home phone number). The other problem is that MY cell is registered with AT&T with MY HUSBANDS name.

What the heck do I do?? I don't want to get DQ'd!!

According to the rules, you can go here http://register.go.com/go/memberservices/home to modify info on your account (you cannot reach that place by clicking around anywhere on the Disney site normally). I went to it and went to modify my info but the only info there is a place to put your address. NO CELL or HOME #.

I'm thinking that a husband and wife CANNOT both enter unless they're living at different addresses per the underlined section of the rules that you quoted. It's one entry per day per person (H&W can both enter), per cell (H&W can both enter if they have different cell #s), AND per address (only H OR W can enter unless they have different addresses).

If I win, I am picking Disneyland. I have never been and it is a much more expensive trip for me than WDW. Hopefully I remember to enter every day.
That's what I'm planning too! There's no way can get my family to DLR for more than 4 days for what it costs for over 10 days at WDW! The airfare is what kills us... AND I want to see Carsland! :rotfl2:

Further, the rules say

(1) Entry per person/Cell/Address for each Daily Sweepstakes, regardless of method of Entry or whether one person has more than one Cell/Address or more than one person use the same Cell/Address

So if DH and I share an address, only ONE of us may use it to enter per day, just like we could only make one entry if we shared a cell phone.

So all of us who had our spouses enter today and yesterday seemed to have voided our entries???

arg i accidentally entered twice today while showing my friend how to do the text msg version. I guess i won't enter tmrrw so I'll only have 60 entries. now i'm paranoid i'll be disqualified! but like others have said, i'm surprised it went through

What happened is you voided today's entries by entering twice.

Tomorrow's entries have nothing to do with today's entries. Each day's entries are for that day's trip.

If you don't enter at all tomorrow, one entry from today won't carry over until tomorrow. You just wouldn't be entered for tomorrow's drawing at all.

Forget today and keep entering every day - even tomorrow. ;)

I've stuck to the bare necessities of the rules (no pun intended... well maybe a little). I only entered. I'm too nervous I'll be voided!!!

arg i can't even manage my account on this stupid website, i can enter that way, but when i go to see what info they have under "manage my account" it just says "login failed" no matter what i do...

also thanks for the tip. I started freaking out! haha

It is my understanding that it referrs to cell/email address. It does not state PER HOUSEHOLD like other sweepstatkes that limit to household rather than person. Wonder how we find out the right answer.....

Ah, now THERE'S the question. I didn't think along the lines of email address. Hmmm, what do they mean by "address" - home or email?

If they mean email address, then yes - both H & W can enter as long as they have at least two different email addresses.

If they mean home address, then H&W both entering would void the entries.

ETA: they do meal email address. No mention of household address is mentioned until section 7:

7. WINNERS:

On or about one (1) business day after each Daily Drawing, each potential winner will be notified via email or cell phone, as appropriate, to obtain a mailing address as well as any additional required information or responses. Once mailing addresses are available, each potential winner will be sent paperwork by overnight delivery service. At the sole discretion of the Sponsor, disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate winner may result from any of the following: [1] potential winner's failure to respond to notification within two (2) business days after transmission; [2] the return of an email notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts; [3] the return of any other notification as undeliverable; [4] potential winner's failure to provide Administrator with satisfactory proof of age, identity and residency; [5] potential winner's failure to provide Administrator with satisfactory proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the Cell or Address associated with the winning Entry; [6] potential winner's failure to provide required additional information upon Administrator's request; [7] potential winner's failure to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability/Publicity Release within five (5) business days after its mailing; [8] potential winner's failure to be available to make either Trip 1 or Trip 2 on Sponsor-selected dates between June 1, 2012 and June 1, 2013; [9] potential winner's failure to validly claim any prize by May 30, 2012 and [10] any other non-compliance with Rules. In the event of any prize forfeiture, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, award or not award the forfeited prize to an alternate winner. The Group must travel together on the same itinerary and members of the Group are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents (i.e. valid photo I.D, passport etc.) before departure. All members of the Group will be required to execute a Release of Liability prior to ticketing. Anyone in the Group who is a Minor must be accompanied on the Trip by his/her parent/legal guardian ("Parent") as one of the Group, who must sign and return all required documentation. Minors must be accompanied at all times during Trip 1 and Trip 2 (including, but not limited to, in-flight, and all prize-related events) by his/her Parent.. Each Canadian resident who is a potential winner will be required to answer correctly a mathematical skill testing question without assistance of any kind whether mechanical or otherwise to be declared a winner and be eligible to collect a prize. All taxes are solely the responsibility of each winner, who (except for any Canadian) will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the value of his/her prize.

It has nothing to do with your physical address. If it did, the rules would state something along the lines of "one entry per person per household" (Like the Southwest Airlines Disney contest does - I can only enter once a day under my name. If my husband were to enter, it would disqualify us.)

I re-read the rules and it does not say per household.

It's per person. However, that person is not allowed to submit an entry twice in 1 day by using 1 entry with their cell and 1 entry with their e-mail address. It's 1 per person *regardless* of whether they use their cell or e-mail address. So husbands and wives can both enter. But only once each in a day.

So if DH and I share an address, only ONE of us may use it to enter per day, just like we could only make one entry if we shared a cell phone.

Yes, if you & your husband share an E-MAIL address (not your physical address), you cannot *both* enter. You have to have seperate e-mails. Just create a seperate e-mail for your husband and use that to enter him. I did that with my husband.

Does anyone know how winners will be notified? If they call and nobody answers do you think they would leave a message and you have X amount of time to call back before you lose it?

If you enter via the website, they will e-mail you; if you enter via text, they will text you. I'm not sure if there's a time frame you have to respond by.

PyxiiDustt is right on the notification and according to the rules you have 2 days to respond.

Clear as mud. Haha!

OOh! I found this in the rules:
Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your on-line service will apply. It is your sole responsibility to notify the Administrator if you change email address ("Address"). To do so, go to http://register.go.com/go/memberservices/home, log into your Website account with your Member Name and Password, click on "Modify" and follow the instructions on how to change the Address.

"Entry" as used herein shall mean and refer to each SMS and Online Entry.

So it seems "Address" DOES mean email.
