I think that is neat!!
You should be able to add the 3rd OOP, we always extended our stays beyond the actual win times ( its how we always ended up Poly, then Pop, we paid for Pop) Disney promo dept will work really well with you so you can secure a flight for the extra person and everything. They make it really easy. Just so you know, they wont let you add dining, even if it is a free dining period, you cant do that. But we did upgrade our tickets from 4 day hoppers to 10 days hoppers both times, just make sure you use them once before you do the upgrade. This was 3 yrs ago, so ymmv.
The following is from the official rules...see the bold sections for information relevant to the discussion here about the drawings and notifications.
Apparently the first drawing(s) were to be pulled today...notification is said to be on or about 1 business day after the drawing by email or cell phone...cannot see how anyone received anything legitimate up to 5 days before the drawing was to take place...the rules also basically state that until you are notified via email or cell that they would not have your address...
I would see about adding a fraud alert to your credit reports if you have sent your personal information out since according to the rules they have not notified anyone yet.
6. PROCEDURES:
Pursuant to the schedule below, the Administrator will conduct a Daily Drawing to select the potential winner of each Daily Sweepstakes. The eligible Entries for each Daily Drawing will be limited to those Entries received during the applicable Day, since there will be no carry-over, except the eligible Entries for the Grand Sweepstakes shall also include a carry-over of all eligible Entries for all of the preceding 59 Daily Sweepstakes. Odds of winning each Daily Sweepstakes depend on the total number of eligible Entries received for the applicable Day, except the odds of winning the Grand Sweepstakes shall depend on the total number of eligible Entries received for all Daily sweepstakes except the Entries of the winners. Dates below are each "on or about."
For the 7 Daily Sweepstakes for January 1-7: 7 Daily Drawings on January 11, 2012.
For the 7 Daily Sweepstakes for January 8-14: 7 Daily Drawings on January 18, 2012.
For the 7 Daily Sweepstakes for January 15-21: 7 Daily Drawings on January 25, 2012.
For the 7 Daily Sweepstakes for January 22-28: 7 Daily Drawings on February 1, 2012.
For the 7 Daily Sweepstakes for January 29-February 4: 7 Daily Drawings on February 8, 2012.
For the 7 Daily Sweepstakes for February 5-11: 7 Daily Drawings on February 15, 2012.
For the 7 Daily Sweepstakes for February 12-18: 7 Daily Drawings on February 22, 2012.
For the 7 Daily Sweepstakes for February 19-25: 7 Daily Drawings on February 29, 2012.
For the 4 Daily Sweepstakes for February 26-29: 4 Daily Drawings on March 5, 2012.
Limit of one prize per person/Cell/Address for all 60 Daily Sweepstakes. No more than three (3) alternate winners will be selected for each Daily Sweepstakes. The decision of the Administrator shall be final and binding.
7. WINNERS:
On or about one (1) business day after each Daily Drawing, each potential winner will be notified via email or cell phone, as appropriate, to obtain a mailing address as well as any additional required information or responses. Once mailing addresses are available, each potential winner will be sent paperwork by overnight delivery service. At the sole discretion of the Sponsor, disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate winner may result from any of the following: [1] potential winner's failure to respond to notification within two (2) business days after transmission; [2] the return of an email notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts; [3] the return of any other notification as undeliverable; [4] potential winner's failure to provide Administrator with satisfactory proof of age, identity and residency; [5] potential winner's failure to provide Administrator with satisfactory proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the Cell or Address associated with the winning Entry; [6] potential winner's failure to provide required additional information upon Administrator's request; [7] potential winner's failure to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability/Publicity Release within five (5) business days after its mailing; [8] potential winner's failure to be available to make either Trip 1 or Trip 2 on Sponsor-selected dates between June 1, 2012 and June 1, 2013; [9] potential winner's failure to validly claim any prize by May 30, 2012 and [10] any other non-compliance with Rules. In the event of any prize forfeiture, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, award or not award the forfeited prize to an alternate winner. The Group must travel together on the same itinerary and members of the Group are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents (i.e. valid photo I.D, passport etc.) before departure. All members of the Group will be required to execute a Release of Liability prior to ticketing. Anyone in the Group who is a Minor must be accompanied on the Trip by his/her parent/legal guardian ("Parent") as one of the Group, who must sign and return all required documentation. Minors must be accompanied at all times during Trip 1 and Trip 2 (including, but not limited to, in-flight, and all prize-related events) by his/her Parent.. Each Canadian resident who is a potential winner will be required to answer correctly a mathematical skill testing question without assistance of any kind whether mechanical or otherwise to be declared a winner and be eligible to collect a prize. All taxes are solely the responsibility of each winner, who (except for any Canadian) will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the value of his/her prize.
All they say is At the sole discretion of the Sponsor, disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate winner may result from any of the following: [1] potential winner's failure to respond to notification within two (2) business days after transmission; [2] the return of an email notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts; [3] the return of any other notification as undeliverable;I entered by text - can't seem to get it to work online..
BUT... if I were to win....okay, WHEN I do (trying some positive thinking here, lol!).... what happens if they call the cell and no one answers, cell is turned off or something? Hopefully they don't give up on you .... at least leave you a message?
2 WDW trips, a DCL Western Cruise, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago and WIsconsin Dells in the last 7 yrs.how many trips have you won?
THey had a show extreme sweepstaking too, I am not that dedicated lolMe too. Reminds me of that show "Extreme Couponing." lol
thanks, its neat for us. I am a SAHM, conscious choice of hubby and I, so, sweeping gives us the extras we couldnt otherwise afford. It is a hobby, but its also a bit like a job, you just never know if and when you will get paid lolI think that is neat!!
Hi Katiesmommy - I have been sweeping through OLS since 2003. I do not enter as many hours a day as you and have been known to take off huge chunks of time (i.e. 9 months at one point) due to burnout so I haven't won as much as you. However, I have won $10,000 (paid for a trip to Disney and a new bed), $5,000, and a trip to Atlantis to meet the Jonas Brothers, plus numerous other smaller prizes over the years. It is a great hobby that tends to reward persistence but a lot of people go into it not realizing how much work it is. I almost treat it like a job when I enter and it can be really hard during dry spells. One of the most fun things about it is when I do win, I can win something crazy that I would never put together on my own (i.e. going to the bahamas to meet the Jonas Bros).

Am I reading this part wrong? Why do Canadians need to do math to win?m![]()

In Canada it has to have some kind of skill and not just be a random drawing. If memory serves it's a gaming/gambling related law.
lol its luck but its also work. Its my hobby, I do a few hundred sweeps every day....
Maybe that's my problem, I'm not dedicated enough. lol.
Seriously, WHAT don't ppl understand about it? You are going to scare people away from a perfectly legitimate sweepstakes....
Math is better than having to pay $!
I always felt bad that Americans can WIN prizes but end up having to pay taxes on their winnings. No fair!
I wish you could just do math too!
It's Canadian Sweepstakes Law:
Lotteries have three major components: the prizes have value, the sponsor benefits from the sweepstakes financially, and the winner is chosen at random. In order to avoid being an illegal private lottery, at least one of the three components must be removed.
In the United States, the sponsor usually removes the financial benefit component to avoid being classified as an illegal lottery. That is why most sweepstakes include statements in their rules that confirms that the entrant does not have to pay to enter, and that a purchase will not change the chances of winning.
Canadians Use a Different Method to Avoid Illegal Lotteries
Canadian sweepstakes law, unlike American law, requires that the third component, "winners are chosen by luck," is removed. Sponsors cannot use pure luck to determine who wins a sweepstake. There must be at least some element of skill involved.
In order remove the element of pure chance, sponsors narrow the field of potential winners by requiring a skill testing question to enter their contests. Every entrant does not have the same chance to win; only those who at least pass the skill testing question are eligible to win prizes. Of course, this is only a technicality. Most people can pass the skill testing questions without difficulty, although sponsors are required to make the test somewhat challenging.
